Sorry, that makes absolutely no sense to me. Please restate your question in its entirety.

Is it normal if it works perfectly with internet explorer or chrome, but not with firefox?

NO!

Love this web interface - just wondering if it is easy to add additional columns to the column selector for movies (e.g. Sort Title) so that the movie list can be shown using the Sort Title instead of title

Normal, no. Known issue, yes. Some users have been having some issues with later versions of Firefox. An updated XWMM version is in the works and should address this.

So the answer is, even if XBMC is running, it still no possibilties to just show an web page with info, without any other stuff that can be done?

This is then a library editor, that works over web. Not at all the possibilities to just show an web page with an overview of what movies and tv shows that is in the database.

It is a library editor primarily, but you aren't forced to edit the data. You could use it just for viewing what is in the database.

Zernable:
But the possibilities to do things with database is there?
So if I make these public, people can edit the database. If i understand this right.

Not sure if this has been reported already but I have an issue with sets. If I want to change the set of a film, it won't save the change. So going from one set to another. The workaround is to set it no set, save it, and then set it to the new set, so I guess this means when it checks to see which fields have changed it doesn't compare the two properly.

Anyway just wanted to mention it in case you weren't aware, my apologies if its already been reported.

This add-on, yes. But there are other web interface addons in XBMC that would let you select what to play without altering the databases.

+1

I use XWMM for edition, and AWXi for display/selection; with AWXi as default so not everyone edits everything... lol.

RE: [Web Interface Addon] XWMM - XBMC Web Media Manager - pettergulbra - 2012-11-14

Marsupial:
If you set AWXi as default, how do you access the other one when you need it?
And is there an way to deactivate the library tools on AWXi and the controls?
(that is the only thing I see that`s not is just for watching)
Maybe I can edit an html file or something to remove what I don`t want to be there?

You could commend out the commands you don't want to use in the lib. Probably best to ask in the AWXi thread Wink
