XBMC crashes on video playback - diegosanchez - 2009-11-21 I use the new XBMC, my problem is not always on every video just random ones but when i play a video sometimes during playback it crashes and i need to quit the program via task manager. and example is last weeks South Park, it plays about 10 seconds of the start and crashes each time during it. i tried the video in WMP and it crashes my pc at the same position. I have Windows 7 and an NVIDIA 6200 LE. and my debug log is here. http://pastebin.com/m4c2ccbf2 im just curious if someone can help me figure this one out as my Movies which are around 700mb dont have this problem yet a tv show which is around 175mb seems to be problematic Thanks for future help im sortof desperate - wierd0n3 - 2009-11-21 sounds more like a corrupt encode. XBMC uses a internal decoder, versus WMP or MPC-HC which uses mostly directshow codecs. So if WMP is crashing, than it's the file. not the player You should complain to the person who encoded it. - diegosanchez - 2009-11-22 thanks for the reply. but theres problems with Top Gear episodes where they pause and then play after a while then pause again like its bufferign but isnt saying it |
