Cheers bud!

joshrizzo - Just sub 720 & 576 for 1280 & 720 (Most of Backrow is still skinned for PAL16X9)

- joshrizzo - 2010-08-27

thank you...i was looking at the code yesterday and almost had it figured out. Really though you saved me from a headache 2day :-) ill edit it today and get back with you, thanks again!

ok...i messed with it a lilttle bit. I subbed 1280 for 720 and 576 for 720 an didnt notice a change? also the code above is for xbmc for pc i think. I use the pre merge version on my xbox and the code is a little different. I was editing myprograms.xml and added the fanart view in the view list but when i select it i dont get any boxart icons or fanart :-( it shows the fanart view with my boxart icons for a split sec then they disappear before i can see if fanart is indeed working

- Sharpe - 2010-08-28

Yes that will be because for most of the views the backgrounds are actually built into the views themselves - so they're just overlaying over the fanart control in myprograms.xml.

I've updated both the pre and post merge versions with some extra file mode fanart - see if that's what you were after.

- joshrizzo - 2010-08-28

ahh...that makes sense. Thanks for the update, and thanks for all your help. This is the greatest skin ever and now its perfect Big Grin

im having some trouble getting cdart to show when playing music. Does the cdart need to be resized? here is my file structure:

Artist Folder
-Album Folder
-artist icon (folder.jpg)
--Album MP3's
--cdart.png
--albumart (folder.jpg)

UPDATE: Turns out my id tags were all mixed up. I edited them to match my library names an now cdart is working. still no luck with media flags or the movie countdown

Hi,

There is a way to change the rating from stars to numbers?

Thanks in advance.

- Sharpe - 2010-09-20

Hi FireMan

There's no skin setting or anything like that - you would have to mod it in.

You guys always seem open to new ideas. I think these are very stunning:

Your guys call but always cool if other skins also support skin "extras", these two combined wold only add maybe 15mb's?...

*just my code on how I use them

Quote:- Utilised T!'s and Night's cool CD spinning animation for Music OSD

Does not work here, just normal CD case. Does this have to be set up?

Hiya bud Yep they're pretty nice - if it wasn't for the glass effect they could just be dropped in the skin's genre folders right away - I may very well have a tinker with them and see what they look like - cheers. Do you know if the your man plans to do a similar set for the other tv specific genres?

Hi Bobby - yes you would need to set up CD art for your albums - there's an add-on that automates that.

Hai. I've been using XBMC for quite a while but I was still using the default templates that came with it. I'd like to install this cool theme but I can't really manage to do it. I drag-and-dropped the template in the system/skin folder (I tried the merged and the pre-merged one). The template shows on the settings/appearance window (in XBMC) but I can't select it. It's like it's not appropriate for the build I got (I use XBMCfreak.nl live-CD)

I tried to install another template a while ago but that didn't go well either. It must be something stupid though. I know the answer is somewhere on these forums but the question is rather general, so it's harder for me to look it up.

I really hope someone helps me out Big Grin!

- Sharpe - 2010-09-27

Hi Signa11 - with the latest versions of XBMC skins are now treated as add-ons and go in the addons folder instead of the old skins folder.

- tripkip - 2010-09-27

Hi sharp,

looks really slick! Congrats!
Have you thought of putting it on the xbmc repo?
