I noticed the high cpu usage compared, for example, with DSPlayer and the Broadcom DirectShow filter.

Yea not sure its using the crystal hd, CPU usage about the same as dx builds without crystal support except colours are now displayed correctly.

Thanks

Should work ok with latest rev, gl build now working with win7 32bit.

Yup, I can confirm that mine was working with the mini PCIe to PCIe adapter with Windows7 64-bit and the 3.1 64-bit drivers.

I am currently working through the .2 seconds AV sync issues tho. I will try the latest build that andye26 is directing us to go to.

Just tried the latest GL build from that link 27290 - not seeing Crystal HD as a render option though and auto-detect is certainly not picking it up. Sad

Using build 27306 win7 32bit and Chrystal HD is selectable under "render Method" just checked again.
Not sure why you can see it.

Is this the build you got?

Andy

Just noticed you mentioned build 27290 is 27603 not shown?

Yap - thats the build I downloaded, just copied the files over the existing ones (I assume that was all I had to do.) Also uninstalled/reinstalled the 3.1 Crystal HD drivers but again no Crystal HD choice (Revo 1600/Win 7 32)

Strange.....

I renamed my old xbmc folder and moved the new one into its place, Had to copy the dll files into xbmc root as they were not included and everthing just worked.

If the cpu usage is the same then isn't using the card. I was talking more about 10% with DSplayer vs 30-35% with DX build vs 15% with GL build vs 75-80% without crystalhd and 1080 samples.

Might be something to do with my build, Havent compiled in months (Much easier to grab the nightly buildsBig Grin)
Dx builds were always a bit flakey for me
Can you post you build so I can try it out?

Where will this be distributed?

Can anyone tell me if Windows will detect the Crystal HD when you plug it in without any drivers being installed?

Just got mine in the mail, plugged it in and Windows doesn't do the usual New Hardware found thing?

I suspect the card might be cactus.
