it's only for feedback, no way yet to search artist, song or other ?

It don't think it's possible right now, akezeke can confirm this.

the iPad application you are developing will be open source? if it's the case, are the sources already available somewhere?

Nop I use Commandfusion for IPAD. I started 2 days ago, it's very early. But don't have solution yet for spotify...

ok, I just wanted to know if I should help you implementing those methods or not. Sorry but I am a little bit tired of all those close sources and often paid application.

Ok got everything completed and compiled. Installed through custom installer script that was generated, and XBMC runs fine but I do not see spotify in any of the menus...

Any help is appreciated please.

Thanks!

Superb! Thank you so much for this build. I'm up and running with a couple of glitches that I can live with (e.g. Path Not Found error on Library > Genre ) but am SO happy to have the spotify playlists accessible in xbmc.

For those who have any issues on a Ubuntu install that had a previous xbmc installation I wasn't seeing spotify functionality until I killed my ~/.xbmc folder and restarted xbmc - effectively making it a virgin install.

Best

Keith

Im not sure this is a glitch. From the readme file:

Missing features:
"The year and genre nodes will not lead to any spotify items yet."

Thank you but I have already checked that several times now. Music addons, there is nothing anywhere that shows spotify... Sad

Also i noticed the installer it made is named XBMCSetup--dx.exe without any numbers. Is that supposed to be like that?

Can anyone help me out please?

Look at the bottom part (Configuring XBMC with Spotify) of this guide, hopefully it will help you:

Wow, even Blackberries now have a Spotify app, but on XBMC, you still have to be a programmer to get this to work...

Some people are really NOT ABLE to show some appreciation for projects like these...

It is not as if Team XBMC has a million or even billion dollar budget to spend on development, like Blackbarry, Google, Microsoft, etc. have.

If you make such remarks, you really do not understand the nature of the XBMC project and all the effort people put in to this project, voluntarily and in their own spare time.....

Of course everyone is eager to see a simple to use and install plugin for Spotify but the way you put it, it also seems like a demand......

Thanks, but I've done that several times now..That's the guide I used and SpotyXBMC doesn't even show up in plugins anywhere..

No one else has had this problem?

A demand? I don't see any demand, that's an assumption from your side. I'm just wondering why a wildly popular app like Spotify has a plugin on almost every thinkable device and platform, yet XBMC doesn't.
