and why interlaces can't be play backed with Broadcom HD?

It's a bug. See #3) at http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=69384

Not sure I understand your question, interlacing is a property of the video content. There's nothing to define under MacOS (OSX).

Google for "mediainfo", it's an application that will tell all about video content. There's a version for a OS's.

thank you very much for replying patiently.

so I get media info and checked a file.
It's progressive
1280x720
FPS = 59,94
stream bitrate - 2 994 kbps

While playing in MXMC I have about 10 seconds of FPS around 60 and then it falls to 11-12. I can restore FPS only after restarting playback

720p@60fps must be excellent for sports!
Solving the interlace issue would be great too as European EH PVR record 1080i

You are right. Almost all Nhl games are in 720p fps60. Now stanley cup play offs and i can't enjoy it on big screen .must watch on laptop. Sad but true

Feel for you. I'm lucky that my TV faces Seymour mountain in Vancouver so I can pick up CBC in glorious OTA HD.

/sorry for the threadjack.

Hi Guys,

Could you help me out? I have Apple TV (3.0.2), patchsticked with XBMC 9.11 and nitoTV installed and running OK. I have just ordered Crystal HD from logicsupply and expect it to be delivered soon.

Could you please let me know the easiest way to install all necessary files on Apple TV to get 720p working? I know the hardware part from youtube, but I am totally not sure how to install drivers and how to get the proper XBMC into the Apple TV.
I hope I don't need to compile anything on Apple TV or elsewhere (I don't have a MAC). It would be best if a permanent solution (working after reboot) was available. Please feel free to paste command lines in necessary.

Thanks in advance.

The procedure is on davilla googlecode project page

Can you give a link to posts were it is explained how to install files on Apple TV, but without compiling? Which steps can I skip in his guide if I choose to download binaries only?
What about getting proper XBMC? How to do it the easiest way? If I have 9.11 already, can I backup it before upgrading?
