Problem with tv shows in library - look2 - 2010-01-23

Hi !
I do have some problems adding tv shows in my library...

Right now I have 2 tv-shows, band of brothers and 24.
The file structure is like:

smbshare:\\server\hd\band.of.brothers\
smbshare:\\server\shared\tv\24\

under band of brothers the episodes is named like "band of brothers.s01e01.mkv"

When I scan that folder I do see the band of brothers folder in the library, but no files under it, so I have to go into files to be able to play it..

it's the same issue with 24, but the file structure is slight different...
its like \24\season1\24s2d2.rar

because it's dvd rips, and one season contains about 5 discs.
I have no ideĆ” how I shuld place this to make the series appear in the library...

i was able to set everything up following the well laid out explanations on the wiki page:

http://wiki.xbmc.org/?title=TV_Shows_%28Video_Library%29

Well
I think I have tried follow the guide on the wiki...

Making a folder called "TV" a sub folder called "band.of.brothers" and then the files named band.of.brothers.s01e01 and so on, but still no luck...
I get a cover on the band of brothers folder, and can read info about the serie. But no info on the eposodes, and they won't show up in the library. I see the band of brithers folder, but no files when i go into it...

Full debug log needed.

I can't attach a file, so here is a link for pastebin

Thetvdb.com is offline at the moment. Try again later.

it's seemes to be working, But now I have another problem.
I have change some filenames, for the serie 24, but in the library it's still the old filenames.

I have tried to rescan the folder.
Readded the source
"cleaned" the library from the video meny...

Is there anything more I can do ?

It seems that somewhere between 27045 and 27133 the library scan broke. Sorry that I can't be more precise but those are the builds I have to test with. in 27045 it scans fine but int 27133 it doesn't.

- mkortstiege - 2010-01-27

Scan is working fine here. Please pastebin a full debug log showing the scrape fail(s).

- mindweaver - 2010-01-27

http://pastebin.com/f55b7a42b

This is from the latest build from your build bot. 27217. the result is the same in 27133.

If I install 27045 (27048 also works) over it and scans, it works perfectly again.

- mkortstiege - 2010-01-27

There's no scrape attempt in that log. Please place a dummy episode somewhere and re-scrape.

- mindweaver - 2010-01-27

That's what I'm saying Smile it is broken. I can post a log with 27048:

http://pastebin.com/f123a8500

Nevermind the SVN notation in the log. it is 27048. I installed it on top of the other and ran and update library just as in the other log. And now it scans (I cancelled it when I saw that it found episodes)

- mindweaver - 2010-01-27

Dummy file isn't needed since the TV-Series folder contains 29 series with over 270 episodes and scanning has worked perfectly before and works great if I install 27048.

EDIT: I have noticed that searching inside rar files seems to be broken in newer builds. Can that have something to do with it? All my TV and Movies are rared.

EDIT2: Yes! That is the problem! I unrared one episode and it found it on scan with 27217. Hope you can fix it!

- look2 - 2010-01-27

My shows are also in rar's about 95st because it's a dvd rip...
I have renamed the rarfile, but not the file inside the rar, perhaps that's the problem...

I have also found that if you have exported your library to separate files (.nfo) then it will not scan them if you empty the database and try to rescan.

I had to remove all exported .nfo-files and after that it found my TV-shows on scan.

(This has worked before, don't know when it broke. I know there has been some work done on this)
