You should be fine by overwriting.

Green Screen ATI Graphics - DanneXBMC - 2010-02-08

thrasherx Wrote:It seems as though the full green screens are happening on systems with combinations of ATI cards and x64 versions of windows. Mine's doing it with an ATI HD2600 and Windows 7 x64. Is anyone else noticing this?

Yes this happens on my system also, WIN7 64, HD3200

It's not 64bit because I have ATI HD2400 and Win7 32bit here and I get the green screen.

Exactly. I only can see full green screen when using DXVA and I have Windows 7 Professional 32bits and ATI HD3450 AGP.

2 HTPCs with Win 7 x64 with 4550 = green screen

Win 7 x64 and GTX 260 = works fine

ACER_Aspire R3610 REVO with Win7 x32 works flawless; thank you.

Yes I also have Win 7 32-bit and ATI HD3450 PCIe card on a Athalon 4300+ and also get the green screen, I downloaded the newest vlc with DXVA built in, but can not find a way of to enable it, unless it is by defualt, but my cpu is around $50-70% which is not how it is usually with MCE or MPC-HC dxva enabled which usually hovers around 10-20%. Anyways hope we can figure htis green screen out as I really like the interface for XBMC (using Media browser in MCE for now)

Are we talking about full green screens, or green pixelizations?

Win 7 64, ATI HD 3450
I am getting green pixelization on some H.264 files.

Mine is a full green screen

For ATI users: I did have a green screen issue with mpc-hc(using DXVA2/win7 x84) a while back. Clean uninstal of the drivers (use driver sweeper to get everything) Installed the latest drivers and the problem was gone.

Also experienced a fullscreen green, was gone after restart of the pc. Update to yesterdays build and did a lot with it without any green.

win7 x86 + ati 3200 onboard + amd 4850e
