There is a build available from the DSPlayer revision sticky - see here http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=70436, which is rev 28917 and which uses a newer version of the trunk build as its core, however I would urge caution as it is very much an expiremental build until the merge is complete - also make sure you backup your DB because if you upgrade to revision higher than 28720 you will not be able to downgrade to a lower revision as the databases are not compatible.

The only other way to get a current svn build is to compile yourself I'm afraid.

I am not talking about the DSplayer builds, you can get nightly builds from this site. http://sshcs.com

Initially I didn't think you were, but wasn't aware that any other of the 3rd party builders were still compiling svn builds at this time. Was at this point I thought you might be referring to the DSPlayer as it had the same svn number. Confused - you will be. Big Grin

Even more confused if you follow that link you just gave - 'Stepping Stones Home Care Services' Huh?

Think this might be the link you were looking to point to: http://sshcs.com/xbmc/

Thanks Elupus and everyone else who is working on this! I compiled the latest last night and it works beautifully with my GeForce GT210. However, I did lose a lot of skinning (non buttons or backgrounds) so making any settings adjustments is kind of difficult hehe. I know this may be a little off-topic but does someone here know how to fix this? Thanks!

Great work guys! I just installed Build - 28937 (link) (used on a system with Windows 7 x64, A64 X2 6400+ CPU, 6GB DDR2, Geforce 8800GS 384MB and 197.13 Forceware drivers) and my previous issues seem to have disappeared.

I can now play Apple H264 .HDMOV trailers (these) without half of the screen being green.
Moreover m2ts bluray files play without nasty artifacts.

The only issue remaining is when seeking within a file to a certain point it produces a scrambled image for a couple of seconds.

Beside that DXVA is finally fully functional!

the screen breaking up on seeking is fine in my opinion. It's just getting to the next I frame (or keyframe).

But, having no adjust refresh rate is the only thing stopping me from having dxva enabled permanently. I'm sure it'll get fixed and I'm not too worried about it.

Also, even though the DSPlayer build says 28917 it isn't, look at the changelog:

"Merged from trunk to r28891"

i haven't noticed this on my end. what settings are you trying to change? do you have a screenshot?

- brycerocket - 2010-03-31

I was trying to change the audio settings during the movie playback (btw, in the newest builds I have issues switching to an AC3 channel - I have to pause the movie first which I guess is always a good idea). To be fair, I did see a File Not Found reported when I was running the build script.

what? that was fixed in 28276 (or around there) was a part of the fix that fixed .ts .m2ts thumbnail creation.

where thumbnail creation before resulted in gray thumbnail

with that fix, screen would not get scrambled, but instead just slowed down for a second or so and then started playing at normal speed.

TS frame drops - Magnolia7 - 2010-03-31

I still have problems with transport stream (.ts) files. They don't play smoothly. They continuously keep dropping frames. It's not due to too high CPU use (around 30-40 %). This happens with DXVA on and off. With the stable XBMC 9.11 version .ts files play smoothly without dropping frames. They also play smoothly in MPC-HC.

I use build 28937 (on a system with Windows 7 x64 Ultimate, A64 X2 6400+ CPU, 6GB DDR2, Geforce 8800GS 384MB and 197.13 Forceware drivers)

Example files which have these problems:

ATP.2010.Indian.Wells.R3.Federer.vs.Baghdatis.720p.ts

ATP.2010.Indian.Wells.Final.Roddick.vs.Ljubicic.720p.ts

When I change the container (with tsmuxer) to m2ts format they play smoothly.

Is there any plans for when the next official release is going to come out? It sounds like DXVA is moving fast enough along that it will be included in it...

I get the break up too. Not a big deal but I dont think it was fixed.

hmm interesting - I'm noticing 30-40% CPU usage with my ATI 4550 on a E6570 Core2duo, while I'm getting 10-20% CPU usage on my GeForce 210 on an E3300 Celeron

There is no way DXVA takes so much cpu so I would say ATI isn't using it. I think it automatically goes to "Software mode" even if you select DXVA in the settings.
