Hi scoot,

same issue with bcm70015, Installation was OK but when I start XBMC everything is very laggy and crystalhd card isn´t in the option menu.
I cant ssh to apple tv after the crash.

Look at the images at http://www.logic.supply. They have both bcm70015 and new layout bcm70012.

After upgrading through launcher from r156 to r172 I lost the crystalhd button in video - playback. Using BCM970012 en Dharma beta 3. Playing p720 videos is like there is no crystalhd card, extremely choppy.

you can revert the installation and go back to r156 if you use this:

R172 not work for me.reverting back to R156.
when XBMC loads,everything become very slow,and no crystalhd option.
ATV Dhrama beta3 old bcm70012.

Same problems for me I'm afraid. Brand new BCM700015, loaded up Dharma Beta 2 & r156 in aTV as soon as I installed the card. Everything worked great.

Tonight I ran the r172 update and lost the CrystalHD option in settings. Everything in XBMC was chugging, even the RSS feeds scrolling along the bottom of the screen. Crashed the aTV 3 times, once I even had to yank the power cable, Menu + "-" didn't work.

xbmc.log here if it's of any use: http://pastebin.com/MqSKFutr

Thanks anyway guys, really appreciate your work. Another windows guy here slowly learning the ways of the Apple.

CrystalHD has nothing to do with "RSS feeds scrolling along the bottom of the screen". Also you are running beta2 and your log shows;

Quote:20:59:05 T:2684407808 M: 21434368 DEBUG: SECTION:LoadDLL(libcrystalhd.dylib)
20:59:05 T:2684407808 M: 21401600 DEBUG: Loading: libcrystalhd.dylib
20:59:09 T:2684407808 M: 38776832 DEBUG: CrystalHD: device open failed , returning(0xffffffff)
20:59:09 T:2684407808 M: 38776832 DEBUG: CrystalHD: broadcom crystal hd not found

Which means crystalhd open failed and you are using ffmpeg software decode. I want to see the output of dmesg after XBMC launches.
