Sranshaft Wrote:You should be able to remove them by going to Settings > Alaska > Home. There you can hide any of the menu items on the home screen. The only ones you can't hide are the Scripts, Shutdown and Play Disc menu items but they're easy to add in if you open the CustomSettings.xml file.

only thing i found was that i can hide "submenus". i will look again and thanks for tip with customsettings.xml

I would take a guess and say you're using the default home screen. There's no way of hiding them in that view. I'd suggest switching to one of the other home screens. I particularly like the horizontal menu myself.

ah thanks. i assume i could change the Home.xml itself, but that wouldnt make sense if i update the skin?

the horizontal view is nice, but i like the icons from the default home more. got any hint for me how to change them? (except copying the icons over)

That looks really good.
I had imagined the logo's being on top of the TV Show Landscape Pic.

I would still use your version. However when overwriting the file and selecting the skin, the background is black and the text is greyish. The landscape pic is not in sync i.e overinflated in parts.

I can see this is not what the view is like in your picture. Do you know what I could be doing wrong? I took a fresh install of Alaska Revisited and added and overwrited your files. Restarted XBMC and selected the skin. But keep getting the above described errors.

Many thanks

[quote=Sranshaft]Here you go mate. I've added a new view called "Tablet" though it's not the same tablet view Hitcher was working on. This one looks more like the view in Fusion. It's available for movies, tv shows and seasons. I'll have to add a screenshot when I get a chance. Now on to the files...

Download from here. Unzip and overwrite the files.

What version of XBMC are you using? What version of Alaska Revisited are you using? Mind uploading a screenshot so I can see what you're seeing?

I'm using the latest stable SVN version of XBMC (30898) and the Alaska Revisited found in post 189.

- ISYM - 2010-06-13

Sorry about that. I downloaded the latest one from the Google SVN.
I am using XBMC 9.11 on AppleTV.

Sranshaft could you assist with this? I have tried to get the logo's to appear just above the landscape mode. As shown here.

However the logo does not show correcting as in Eureka. And when selecting the TV Show as in Fringe the Logo disappears.

Could anyone assist me in solving this?

- Sranshaft - 2010-06-13

First, a few things. Version 9.11 is very old and does not have all the added things needed for the newer versions of Alaska. I would suggest upgrading.

Secondly, the screenshot is showing a problem regarding the black borders of the screen. It looks like you haven't adjusted the screen properly. I'd suggest going to Settings > System > Video Calibration.

Have you added the logo code to the <focusedlayout> section of coding? The icon for Eureka is showing fine, it's just that you have the logos aligned to the left of the landscape thumb.

Now for a personal opinion... Isn't it a bit redundant to have the logo appear above the landscape image AND on the landscape image itself? This is why I choose to make the tablet view using the wallpaper. It saves me having to create landscape images for every show.

It hasn't officially been released yet but you can pick up the SVN. The current stable release put out by Team-XBMC is 30898 and is available on the download page under Nightly Builds.

Thanks Sranshaft...

I assume alaska works with this as well

As long as you have the version available in post 189 of this thread. They've changed the way skins work (everything is now in an "addons" folder instead of the old "skin" folder).

Hitcher Wrote:Still not complete but here's the latest version I have that works with the Add-Ons.

Extract it to your user/XBMC/addons folder.
Thanks Hitcher.

is this the same as github ?

No.

diferent types of views - drago - 2010-06-16

Thanks Hitcher for a good looking skin. This is real beautiful but I’m missing one thing and just wanted to hear if you are planing to have it in this version later.

What I'm missing is to have diferent types of views in music-section when you are in "Files mode" not in "Library mode”? It would be great if the options Wall-view and files-view where enabled. Thank again for a good skin.
