I think I found a bug, or at least something weird (if this is something that is already known and discussed then I'm sorry in advance):

Situation: Alaska revisited, latest build
Home menu: Standard, populated with Apps, Music, Movies, TVShows and Settings

In my dvd drive I have a music cd.

When I browse my home screen, and move from right to left, the different menu items pop out one for one. However when I move from music to apps, nothing pops out. When I press ok, my music cd starts playing. When I press left again I move to apps. So it seems as if there is a 'hidden' function between the two, to play my disc.

While I'm typing this I am playing around to find the source of the problem, and when I enable Videos in the home menu, it shows up with play disc as the primary option. The problem seems to be that the videos option just becomes invisible, but is still accessible between music and apps?

I see what you mean.

What I'll have to do is move it to the Movies section as that's the only one that can't be disabled.

I did an update to the latest version and noticed a little problem: when changing the volume while playing a movie the volume bar now has a very dark background so that it hardly is visible - I guess some color strings may've gotten messed up?

Yeah, it's fixed for the next update.

This may have been asked before, but how do I remove the Speaker graphic from showing up when playing music? The reason I ask is because I have the Cinema Experience add-on enabled and if I am viewing slides with background music the speaker graphic covers a small lower-left portion of the screen.

I could hide it if the Cinema Experience add-on used a IsAlive property like TvTunes does but it doesn't.

Thanks for the reply Hitcher. Is it possible to enable/disable the speaker graphic somewhere in the settings in a future update?

Just showing my appreciation... just installed this skin on a very old p4 (first series). Looks sharp and it still feels fast.

Thanks!

hi, i've a problem when try to put the viewtype logo in tvshows. I can't see the logo of some tvshows when the tag texture value is: $INFO[ListItem.FolderName]logo.png , but changing it like in alaska revisited mod skin: $INFO[ListItem.Path,,/logo.png], i can see it, someone knows the cause?
And another problem, if i change the logo in the tvshow selected, manually, the viewtype logo shows me the older version of the logo, some idea?
thanks.

I'm pretty sure the logos get cached somewhere. I replaced one of mine with a different one and I could not figure out a way to get it to show up. Then a few days later I noticed that the change I made finally took place. Not sure how to get around this but its not a skin issue.

You have to delete the texture database.

Ok, thank you very much, now i can see my firefly logo XD.

Small request:

I'm not sure about the terminology, but in for example the Info List viewtype, if holding down up/down to quickly scroll the scrolling stops when you reach the start or end of the list. I would like the same stop to be done on the Home Screen.

- Hitcher - 2011-01-15

Good catch; I forgot about that one.

Consider it added for the next release.

Nitpicking:

On the Home Screen, Horizontal Layout. Press and hold 'Down' and the you will quickly scroll through all the options for the current selection (for example: Movies -> New Movies -> Studios...) until reaching the very last option. Press and hold 'Up' however will not scroll all the way to the first option, it will stop on the 2nd (New Movies in this case)
