Yea but then again, we are almost at the limit of new ideas for fullscreen fanart on Home without in someway looking the same as other skins.

Good amount of buttons to code on this oneBig Grin

How is the 'Featured' movie chosen?

Well if I can figure out the coding it would just select a random movie at startup to be "featured" on the homepage

Well, I went with a boxee style inspiration for home, and for the minimalists I will likely include the option to disable submenus/recently added/featured

...but IMO while there is alot of information shown, its sectioned in a tasteful, easy to discern manner.

I think you are doing a great job. Nice to see a homepage that is not centered around user images. Those are tired.

Very cool homescreen. I love the fact that it is different to all of the many (great) skins out there.

I agree, the layout is clean and distinctive enough to discern all the information present on the screen. It doesn't work for a lot of skins because fanart or fonts make it look cluttered, but it looks amazing for skin.

I agree with you but i'm glad that you will likely include options to hide certain items in home for a more clean/minimalist design.

Skin looks fantastic, keep it up.

I'm using a modified recentlyadded script that lets you choose to use Random videos instead of Newly Added but it's one or the other not both. I suppose you could modify it to remove all the recently added stuff and then run it separately as a Random script but then that's more workload at startup.

Nice!, I will have to try that.

Side note for everyone, I have updated the first page with the latest pics for all viewtypes of the movie section. I've slightly updated the look and feel to reflect the style of the homepage.

Everything is coming together nicely and I would guess I'm about 70% complete (before the first release). I need to finish home/ some dialogs/video osd/settings still.

No ETA though as the times I get to work on the project are sporadic but I'm optimistic it wont be a terribly long wait Wink

what do you see as bing the dfault view for tv show browsing at the show level?

will you be supporting banners for tv shows?

i know some of you don't like banners for tv shows but it's what gets scrapped by default and it would be really awesome if there was support for it.

- XBMCG33K - 2010-08-19

Well after looking at this view:

I'd say it's pretty safe to say a banner view of some sort would look great in this skin. I'm sure Arc will keep all viewtypes in mind.
