Deleting files from hard drive from within the library - TL@TL@ - 2010-05-24

Hi all,

I'm new to XBMC and still in the testing phase. I want to get rid of my Popcorn (to many limitations) and am testing XBMC on my normal PC (before buying an HTPC)

I have XBMC up and running, no problems there. I use NFO's for everything (Mediacompanion) and my shows and movies are showing up just fine.

Now my first problem comes up: when I watched a show, I want to delete it (no point in keeping it on the hard drive, I never watch something twice)

Now I have to exit the library mode and enter the file manager, this is very anoying. Is there a possibility to delete files from within the library view?

Thx for the help.

ps: I'm running W7 and the Confluence skin

In settings you can check "allow delete files" (or smth like that) now you can say in library view delete from library and then will follow the question, delete files.

Yes, I did that (allow rename and delete files in settings) but only thing I see in library mode is "delete from library"

select remove from library. once confirmed and removed, it will offer you the option to delete the file.

the only problem with this is it only deletes the video file and not the nfo/fanart/poster etc from the hard drive so you would still need to manually delete these.

Great!

It works, thanks.

That the nfo files stay, is not a big problem. I can delete them when the season is over Big Grin

Thanks for the fast help.

Already seen it. Don't expect too much of it.

Biggest problem of the Popcorn is its inablity to play DTS audio without drops (short pauses)
