I've recently installed the addon on my ATV2G, and I'm having difficulties with it.
While I can search for subtitles and even download them (or at least that's what the addon says), they don't display afterwards - the video keeps playing as if I did nothing whatsoever.
This happens from all of the subtitles sources I've tried, in both languages I tried (English & Hebrew).
Any help on the matter will be most appreciated,

Subtitles that are in the same dir as the video display perfectly fine. i.e if I have 2 files in a folder, one is movie.mkv and the other is movie.sub, the subtitles WILL display just fine.

use the pastebin next time, it makes it much easier to view on mobile devices
you dont have the permission to write to smb:// share

I changed the default download folder to the device itself and now it works, thanks for the help

no prob, you can set xbmc to use the same folder so you dont have to download twice if you restart the movie
its under subtitles somewhere in system

But then if I have subtitles in the same folder as the movie it won't display them, will it?

it will, that will set the additional place to check for subs. which, if its the same as addon download folder, will pick up the subs you downloaded earlier

hi! I'm trying to download subs from Subdivx and it doesn't find anything, the other subs services work ok, but not subdivx.
I want to suggest if it would be possible to add the http://www.subtitulos.es service to the addon, cause it's a very good spanish subtitles series site.

hey im new to the xbmc so maybe its my settings that are wrong but latly i cant download subs i just says downloading subtitle but thats it nothing more happens. It started about 4 days ago i think. I havent changed anything that has anything with the subs to do?

Hoping I can find an answer to a simple quesiton, but I really cant trawl 170 pages for it, and cant find a general faq about the plugin...
I assume for these to work properly the original filename should be kept, so a mathcing sub file can be found for the specific relase of the file I want to find subs for?
Ive used random subtitles files before and nearly all of the time, they can be qay out out sync...

in addon settings you can enable the setting to show the original file name, then match it to a subs name in the list

I have always renamed my movie files, removing all of the unnecessary tagging, just leaving the name of the movie... I was trying to find out if by doing this, I am now making it almost impossible to find suitable subtitle files to match the release I have.

if the movie is in the library adon will use the library name to search, if not it will use the file name.

Hi there,
Recently the plugin is not working anymore. It won't download the subtitle from "legendas.tv". It just says "downloading..." and nothing happens.
And using opensubtitles it gives an "error extracting" message everytime.
Here is my log file while attempting to use the addon for Tombstone movie.
