RE: reFocus 0.9.5 - FREAKJAM - 2014-02-26 I really like the new screens. Already announced at the tweakers.net forum that you are working on a gotham release. RE: reFocus 0.9.5 - butchabay - 2014-02-26 The new home menu looks interesting, looking forward to see how it feels navigating through menu and submenu. Nice work mate ! RE: reFocus 0.9.5 - Bram77 - 2014-02-27 It would be awsome too be able to use the new version of the skin on gotham! RE: reFocus 0.9.5 (Frodo) - knewknow - 2014-02-28 Jeroen, any plans to add cruse's tweak from the reFocus BIG project? (I'm talking about the spoiler free episodes) http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=132897&pid=1420370#pid1420370 This is something that should be standard, but no one has it at all atm except for BIG... (I'm talking about the spoiler free episodes) I can't say I personally have a need for any of them. Plot descriptions are hidden through the XBMC setting right? So would that only leave the episode thumbnails? The thought of having a list with dozens of duplicate images doesn't really speak to me to be honest. I would rather create a viewtype that is designed to be thumbnail/plot free right from the start instead of gimping existing ones. Not saying I will, but that would rather be my approach to it. Hiding the plot in the OSD could be considered, but not pressing info would be most effective to hide the plot RE: reFocus 0.9.5 (Frodo) - knewknow - 2014-03-01 (2014-02-28, 23:35)Jeroen Wrote:(2014-02-28, 22:37)knewknow Wrote: Jeroen, any plans to add cruse's tweak from the reFocus BIG project? (I'm talking about the spoiler free episodes) The only thing I'm personally concerned with are the thumbnail spoilers. Especially terrible in reality shows (wife always complaining about being spoiled in Project Runway ), but can also be a problem in dramas etc. Just knowing that it may be a consideration in the future is fine with me. Thanks again. reFocus 0.9.5 (Frodo) - WhiteHartMart - 2014-03-01 This looks absolutely stunning - much so it deserves a new name to differentiate versions? How about 'refocused' Seriously can't wait to use this RE: reFocus 0.9.5 (Frodo) - Jeroen - 2014-03-02 (2014-03-01, 05:22)knewknow Wrote: The only thing I'm personally concerned with are the thumbnail spoilers. Thanks again.I would think the Watchlist feature could be at least a partial solution for this usage scenario? It only shows the latest unwatched episodes of the shows you're watching, and uses a poster image of the tv show, instead of the episode thumbnail. As the listing is generated by an add-on, it currently does not conform to the "Show plot for unwatched items" setting in XBMC. I could investigate if there is a way for the skin to retrieve the status of this setting, in order to toggle the visibility of the plot here. Worst case scenario would be to add an additional (skin) setting for it. EDIT: the above is possible. I'll have the plot hide if the option in XBMC is turned on as that's the logical thing to do. The version number will be bumped significantly though RE: reFocus 0.9.5 (Frodo) - Xepo - 2014-03-02 Oh my god, awesommmee RE: reFocus 0.9.5 (Frodo) - Namekkural - 2014-03-03 Hey Jeroen, I really like the font on the fullscreen movie/tv show views. It looks like a professionalised version of your current typeset. Do you plan on using this kind of styling throughout the skin? For example in media views? One thing that bothered me in reFocus was that the type was beautiful but without character, this bold title thing you're doing is something that makes it feel more refined. I'd like to hear about that a little RE: reFocus 0.9.5 (Frodo) - Jeroen - 2014-03-04 (2014-03-03, 13:57)Namekkural Wrote: Hey Jeroen, I really like the font on the fullscreen movie/tv show views. It's not a primary typeset, but yes you will see it in other parts of the skin. Mostly in places which have the same function as in the fullscreen views. So, things like the video OSD info, music visualization and such. I am also using a semibold variation of the font. That one will mainly be used for title headers in the the media views (not in the list itself, but in views like Slide for instance. So, this will bring some variation in the font usage yes. Sorry I didn't make my deadline btw, I have been having a terrible cold the last couple of days. So, that has delayed things a bit. RE: reFocus 0.9.5 (Frodo) - Namekkural - 2014-03-04 Get well soon Jeroen! And good to hear about the font choices, makes me happy RE: reFocus 0.9.5 (Frodo) - dogzipp - 2014-03-04 (2014-03-04, 12:41)Jeroen Wrote: Sorry I didn't make my deadline btw, I have been having a terrible cold the last couple of days. I've always been a huge fan of reFocus and am glad to see it's making a comeback. Absolutely gorgeous and simple. Love the re-design of the homescreen too. Please add Advanced Launcher support (and some nice views) so we can launch video game emulators and other external apps. That would seal the deal for reFocus being the best skin out there RE: reFocus 0.9.5 (Frodo) - Jeroen - 2014-03-06 Thanks guys, I'm feeling a lot better thankfully. So I've been looking a bit deeper into node support (http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=176864), previously also mentioned by iDude. This has given me tons of ideas to incorporate in the new homescreen. It would also drastically reduce the code needed for things like featured episodes / movies. it would also make it easier for me to add more to sources (potentially even online sources) which can be populated on the homescreen. Things can be made more...modular I guess is the word. Which is great. This probably sounds vague though, so hopefully when some results arise I can show you what I mean. I just wonder how big the demand for this actually is. |
