- Japaja - 2011-01-29 @Jeronen But if u haven't seen it is new to you. It's all in the way you think about it. @supertom44 Excellent idea, an exclamation mark.. I wonder how it would look. - Baswazz - 2011-01-29 I Don't like the grey lip on it, maybey try a shot without them. Not that reFocus style. Purple or green looks good, maybey indeed dark red like alaska revisted. - BigDaddyRal - 2011-01-29 I like the purple, but I prefer the green. How about silver with a light blue star? Either way, I saw another skin that used a green + as the unwatched indicator which I thought worked well. The + says new to me. - byakkun - 2011-01-29 Jeroen Wrote:Yes that's a good point, and I feel the same. I guess it was the closest to symbols like this: How about using a layer of "glossiness" on top of the cover (yeah, I know this is not a glossy looking skin, but my point is that it should stand out and you can make it as subtle as you wish) and a small banner with the word new on top or on bottom that wold look like you can peel it off, instead of peeling off the cover -- in my consumer mind i think that wold work out pretty good and would not require a this ugly-ish icon. I think a range o colors would work especially if place the "new banner" above the corner radius (or under it for the top one), even a dark blue. I think this concept is original enough that it can be a good match for reFocus. - Jeroen - 2011-01-29 BigDaddyRal Wrote:I like the purple, but I prefer the green. The + is a good choice, definitely says new to me. Can't believe that hasn't crossed my mind Allright, I'm going to play around with this. Thanks for the feedbacks guys. - Jeroen - 2011-01-29 byakkun Wrote:How about using a layer of "glossiness" on top of the cover (yeah, I know this is not a glossy looking skin, but my point is that it should stand out and you can make it as subtle as you wish) and a small banner with the word new on top or on bottom that wold look like you can peel it off, instead of peeling off the cover -- in my consumer mind i think that wold work out pretty good and would not require a this ugly-ish icon. That makes me think about something like this: Which does sound like worth trying.. - mcborzu - 2011-01-29 Jeroen Wrote:I think we have a winner. The + is a good choice, definitely says new to me. Can't believe that hasn't crossed my mind thing about the new tag is it work perfectly if you have your media for awhile. if you just set it up/rebuilt your Library now you're full of a hundred new tags... BTW - whats the visible for new tags, I forget... - smil3y - 2011-01-29 Hi everyone, i think i found my final skin (I'm looking forward to see the final PVR integration, pictures looking good so far) great work Jeroen, keep it up. But I also have a question about the upper case font set you mention in your FAQ: Quote:The fonts are lowercase, can you change that? Well, how do I activate that set? - psike - 2011-01-30 2 more things: library update overlapping long titles something weird with artist name for music videos - Jeroen - 2011-01-30 mcborzu Wrote:thing about the new tag is it work perfectly if you have your media for awhile. if you just set it up/rebuilt your Library now you're full of a hundred new tags... That's true, but that's regardless of the type of flag. ListItem.Property(UnWatchedEpisodes) ListItem.Property(WatchedEpisodes) smil3y Wrote:Hi everyone,By selecting the "alternate" fontset in settings->appearance - Jeroen - 2011-01-30 psike Wrote:2 more things:Yes, that's a tricky one, I have to think about how I'm going to handle that. I could simply shorten the left label's width, but then long movietitles and add-on names will be cut off quite frequently. Maybe putting some kind of frame around the notification text or somerthing. That way there would still be overlapping, but it wouldn't affect readability. Or by putting notifications above everything, temporarily moving everything down a notch. Quote:something weird with artist name for music videosFixed for next release. Cheers - smil3y - 2011-01-30 Hey Jeroen, thanks for the help with the fontset. Quote:Quote:Originally Posted by psike There is also an overlapping issue when updating the database and global clock is activated. I can't provide a screenshot at the moment. Couldn't you just move the library update frame down a bit and/or put another background color for that frame so it looks like some kind of pop up while updating. - Hirs - 2011-02-01 Hi, I have activated 'show programs in main menu' but takes no effect, I can't access my programs Favourites works fine though. Thanks! - Jeroen - 2011-02-01 Hirs Wrote:Hi, Yes that's a bug in the current release, is fixed in the next version - robinprice - 2011-02-01 Jeroen Wrote:Yes that's a bug in the current release, is fixed in the next version It seems as though this issue is apparently an annoyance to a lot of users. If there is no strict timeline for the next version, can we have this issue fixed through a small point release? I'm sure others (including myself) would appreciate it greatly. Thanks! |
