Reuse Existing, Legit Software? - user2037 - 2010-07-03 Is there any way to use the existing, already licensed software, that accompany already installed software on Microsoft Windows? For example, I have an ATI All-in-wonder and ATI Media Center which include MPEG2 and other codecs. Can I use those codecs, encoders, and/or decoders or will I need to buy licenses for all that XBMC includes? XBMC is interesting, but I don't think it is worth paying all the license fees to use it legally in the US. - theuni - 2010-07-03 Huh? XBMC uses nothing but free implementations of all codecs. Don't know what you think you'd need to pay for. TheUni - aptalca - 2010-07-03 dude xbmc is totally legal and totally free |
