Reuse Existing, Legit Software? - user2037 - 2010-07-03
Is there any way to use the existing, already licensed software, that accompany already installed software on Microsoft Windows? For example, I have an ATI All-in-wonder and ATI Media Center which include MPEG2 and other codecs. Can I use those codecs, encoders, and/or decoders or will I need to buy licenses for all that XBMC includes?
XBMC is interesting, but I don't think it is worth paying all the license fees to use it legally in the US.

Huh? XBMC uses nothing but free implementations of all codecs. Don't know what you think you'd need to pay for.
