Just been checking out this skin last night. I have 4 smart playist, so went into the options to add them to the home menu. When I try to do so only 2 show up, let me clarify that only 2 show up in the list of things i can add to home menu.

So i click add new and it will only allow to choose from two of them, not all four, any reason why?

Hi, i was just playing a music file with CD art enabled on the home-screen and noticed when the "album info" is fairly long, the text overprints the "next track info". Is it possible implement font wrapping for album names. there seems to be enough vertical space to accommodate it.

I'm with Phil on this. I don't think the current ones are perfect, but they are much better than the old ones.

Hi,

I am a real beginner with respect to installing skins. I am using Mac OS 10.6.4, and since there was no mac specific installation instruction I used the one for linux that has been linked in the first post of this thread:

Download and install git-core
sudo apt-get install git-core
Type at the command prompt:
cd ~/.xbmc/addons
git clone git://github.com/pix/aeon.git skin.aeon65

Basically it worked. But in the first post is also mentioned that the repository development branch has changed. Is the path given in the instruction

git clone git://github.com/pix/aeon.git skin.aeon65

still correct?

And how about the path for obtaining the updates

Type at the command prompt:
cd ~/.xbmc/addons/skin.aeon
git pull --rebase origin master

?

Sorry if these questions are silly, but it would be really nice if someone could give me an answer.

Smile

Chris

Pix, I brought this up a few pages ago. When we install aeon, it installs in a folder called skin.aeon65. When we update (rebase), your changing the directory to one called skin.aeon. This does not exist. I got an error and it took some time to realize that we need to cd into skin.aeon65, not skin.aeon.

I'm sorry, but I cannot explain this very well lol.

Bercause i've a mac i can't follow the tutorial in home page. I 'd like to know where to download this skin without using git... is it possible?

- Mindzai - 2010-09-07

Just download as a zip or tar from the git webpage and extract it to the correct location.

Using a mac, you can follow the linux instructions, your directory is the only thing that is different.

You have to do it in ~\Library\Application Support\XBMC\addons\skin.Aeon65\

I should know, because that's what I'm doing currently Cool
