Hey Giftie, i did what you askes and while it was updating the database in the script it added a lot of artist. Now a whole lot more in the arist list are in green color. Though it didnt download the artwork after this update was available. Do i need to do that manual?

I tried to upload the logfile on pastebin.com but it doesnt let me because the log file is to big (1.5mb because of the update database). Is there another way to upload the file? i dont get xbmc log uploader to work. maybe emailing it?

let me know thanks!

Thanks, the update is running and it looks better!

Have you tried an autodownload? To see if it works, just delete one of your images then autodownload

RE: [RELEASE] cdART Manager Script - Dondi - 2013-01-31

Hey Giftie, is it often the case (from past experience & reading the threads) that after initial fresh install & first-run of XBMC & CDAM, that the CDAM db should be trashed? Only reason I ask, is that there seems to be a history of it, and I had to do it on 2 fresh installs in December (Mac & Win 8). After I did several lengthy scans on my huge music library on both clients with miserable success, I trashed the CDAM db and they both started working. I just did a complete fresh install on the PC with the final release of Frodo, and the PC is exhibiting the same behavior. I started the CDAM scan last night (music library hasn't changed) and woke up this morning and CDAM didn't find any artists, albums or disc. Obviously download was unresponsive. I am currently away from my XBMC and letting it do another scan while I am at work, otherwise I would have set to debug & posted. Maybe, someone could give me advice on next steps to take for when I get home as I assume the second scan will probably yield same results. The last time I scanned and rescanned for days before I sifted through the forums and decided to try trashing the CDAM db. Probably same scenario, but maybe Giftie could use more insight on a possible bug for initial scans (maybe the large music library messes it up on 1st runHuh)

Ok, another 20-hour scan with 0 artists, 0 albums & 0 discs as a result. That's 40 hours of scanning

Giftie, what should I do?

The only thing that will help me solve this issue is to have a full debug log of the building of the database. I know this will be too big for any of the paste sites, but you can always zip the file then post it to a sharing site, then send me the link in a personal message.

Hello giftie. Excuse me, if I should ever bother you.
But I have a problem with yout great CDArt Manger too Sad

After I installed Frodo and the 2.7.9 Frodo version of your add-on, I can not open this.
I've done a complete new installation of XBMC and deleted all folders in the program and user directory.
So there should no longer be any old files, which could lead to Problems.

I have create a debug log.
You can see the problem with the CDArt Manager in Line 1074 (I think)
But I don't know how to handle this:

BTW: Sorry for my really bad english :/

RE: [RELEASE] cdART Manager Script - Slipass - 2013-02-04

Could you post a copy of you settings.xml that is found in userdata/addon_data/scrip.cdartmanager to xbmclogs or paste in thanks. Seems to be an error there. And a bug in the script that doesn't show it.

The error is in the script being caused by one of your paths. I'll fix that

RE: [RELEASE] cdART Manager Script - CM000n - 2013-02-05

Yeah, I renamed my Music Folder and now it works again :-)
Thank you

How could I spend you some Beer for your great work? :-D

RE: [RELEASE] cdART Manager Script - XBL. - 2013-02-06

Looking to use this plugin, but I can't seem to get it to work with XBMC. Tried both the github and the version linked in the thread. On my mac it exits with a python error regarding sqlite, while XBMC just hangs on "Retrieving Album Details". The log claims that the table 'counts' doesn't exist, which is true (it only has lalist). I've tried removing the database and letting cdartmanager recreate it, but that doesn't help. Delving into the code doesn't help much either, but that's probably because I'm not so good at python Wink.
