wow ! I can get some with the new version ! I can get some of the A's but nothing else. It stops with Akon (works with aerosmith, adele, akon, acdc...). After that i cant get anything. Maybe an update of some sort problem
The automatic download doesnt seem to work though

I still don't know what is happening on your system. Please read the end of the third message(How to report bugs) and follow the instructions, though all I want you to do is setup for debugging and perform an update on the add-on's database Advanced > Modify Add-on Database > Update Database. This will show me what data the add-on is getting and possibly why your system is not working

What is the procedure to keep cdArt manager up to date when the XBMC library has changed (for example, updated mp3 tags or added new mp3 files)? Is it:
- Update the XBMC music library in XBMC
- Update cdArt database (advanced > Modify Add-on Database > Update Database) or will cdArt automatically update whenever the main XBMC music database have been updated?

I don't have the script running as a Service script(I already think there are too many that bog my system down at times) so it would not be able to update automatically if there has been a Music Library update.
But you can use my Service script The Scheduler. With this Service script you can schedule a XBMC Library Update, and schedule cdART Manager to Update it's database. You can even set up a schedule to Automatically download artwork(this option has a cache preset to 3 days, so it will only retrieve new information from fanart.tv every 3 days, it can be adjusted up to 7 to provide less strain on fanart.tv)

Hi, script is good and I like it, but all the time I have problem with updating my library. I have - let's say 12 000 albums. Update takes 3+ days. I can’t catch why old database must be deleted and start from zero. The problem is that script it hang's very often and I must start from the beginning again and again.

I dont have the patience anymore. I have the correct directory structure, and proper path for saving cdart's. cdART Manager detects all the artists and albums, but dont want to download anything. When i press automatic download, nothing happens, whether it is clearlogo, cdart or banner. cdART's local is still 0: (
Any suggestions?
Tested on two different machines: On Eden, and Frodo, v. 2.7.7

There are many links suggesting that something is happening. But why script dont download anything on HDD??
From that little bit of the log, I can not see any problems. That little bit of log you posted(see your message for the snipet) shows that you are trying to download Music Banners, but the artist you chose to show here doesn't have any(according to the API feedback). There are Backgrounds(fanarts), album covers, cdARTs, artist thumbs and clearLOGOs.
When reporting problems, please follow the directions on the first page of this thread.

The old database does not have to be deleted. There is an option just to update, though it does check the whole database and XBMC's Music Library for new/missing items and then builds from there(all matched items stay the same, missing data is removed and new data is verified and matched on MusicBrainz)
The script also has a setting that allows you to back up the add-on's database before an update, so you don't start from scratch, there is always the original.

Two quick questions. I have been looking for a good solution for album art because with movies, TV shows and even all my roms that I launch through advance launcher...I was able to simply use the universal scraper, run the initial scrap and outside from manually adjusting a few titles, all around it worked pretty well. Music with XBMC, as it would seem, is not quite that easy. Which brings me to my two questions:
I downloaded this scripts and when I ran it the first time it literally took all day (over 9 hours) to run. I don't have a huge musc collection (only about 50GB) so I am wondering if that is normal. Then after it was done nothing had really happened. From the menu screens (no matter if I use Transparence or Alaska Revisited MOD skin) there is no art of any kind shown. Also when I go back to the library there is no art at all either. Apparently I am doing something wrong...and should it really take 9+ hours to build the database?
Also, through reading this thread I saw that the best folder structure is <Artist><Album><Files> but I actually like to organize my music at the top level by genres so would it be ok to have my collection organized like <Genre><Artist><Album><File> ?

Also where is this database and how big is it? I assume it's in <user>/AppData/Roaming/XBMC but I can't find it. I am just worried that when something ran for 9+ hours it just added huge amounts of data to my system. Currently my XBMC folder under Roaming is about 600MB but I am not sure how big it was before I ran the CdArt Manager script.
