Did anyone ever find the solution to this? I'm still getting 'Skipping dir...' when there are definitely new movies in there.

Smb - pyramidd - 2011-09-26

On windows, I switched from a mapped network drive link [x:/] to the library to a [SMB:] link.
This has resolved the problem.
Though it seems you already have these links.

This was a long time ago but I believe the reason for it skipping in my situation was the existence of a tvshow.nfo file in the root of each show's folder (tvshows\showname\tvshow.nfo). With that file present XBMC wouldn't scrape any new files, after deleting it and doing a library update it scanned the directory properly.

There are no .nfo files in my movie folder. Odd thing is, that it seems to scan correctly for TV Shows (No fasthash), just not movies. And if I do a 'Scan for new content' that works. What's the difference?
