Are we ever likely to get a fix which will enable 1080p video?

Not until XBMC supports separate audio and video streams.

Hello XBMC,

First of all, thank you for your development support to the XBMC. I am new to this and like it a lot. However, I am having issues with playing videos from the Youtube plugin.

I can successfully login to my account, view youtube suggestions, search for new videos just can't play them.

I enabled the system debugging and also found the following, which I didn't find in the pastebin log.

DEBUG: CCurlFile::GetMimeType "https://r12---sn-p5qlsne7.googlevideo.com/videoplayback?fexp=938638,930102,944305,916625,936106,937417,913434,936910,936913,934022&sver=3&ratebypass=yes&mt=1395890592&signature=22E7A2CAFF6BCAFC31C8F6379921E19D4E9F79DF.A6F74DDE033445BA068CC18323BA28F96C00D7D7&id=o-AC1WkH9GT6-SEVoE5fNchoGJ7iQUteOOLWCbbJdL79ga&expire=1395913594&key=yt5&requiressl=yes&ms=au&itag=43&ip=173.22.101.153&ipbits=0&sparams=id,ip,ipbits,itag,ratebypass,requiressl,source,upn,expire&mv=m&source=youtube&upn=HHrRjL2yQeY|User-Agent=Mozilla%2F5.0+%28Windows+NT+6.2%3B+Win64%3B+x64%3B+rv%3A16.0.1%29+Gecko%2F20121011+Firefox%2F16.0.1" > failed

My youtube plugin log is listed at

hi,

i'm using frodo on ubuntu, and for the last month or so a lot of videos do not play! this is very frustrating, as more do not play than do play...

the "loading" icon pops up and then just disappears and sometimes i get a dialogue box which states that one or more items failed to play, check the log.

i have a debug log here of trying to play a video. I have read back the last month or so of posts and see a lot of login issues, i have no login issues but please tell me if this is a symptom of the same issue. and here is a full log

any ideas appreciated, thanx!

Had issue with vevo videos and others... The fixes working like a charm. Any plan to integrate the fix directly into the XBMC repository or any official location?

Thank you for these! They did more than fix login for me. Before these versions I couldn't play video in either add-on (login was working fine for me in YouTube, but videos wouldn't play). Reinstalling didn't help, I'd messed with librtmp and various other things suggested in threads with similar error logs to mine, and these fixed versions were what ultimately fixed things for me. Thanks again!

See above, as this is exactly the behavior I was seeing as well, using Frodo on Ubuntu 12.0.4 LTS. sogopot's fixed versions are working great for me.

RE: [RELEASE] YouTube (Video) Plugin - De facto default standard YouTube Addon for XBMC - irrelevantpelic - 2014-03-31

Hey everyone, I'm new to XBMC, I think it's really amazing and I'm happy to use it.

I just had a quick question. I want to be able to start a playlist, and after the first video, the next video in the playlist plays. As it stands now, the first video will play, and it stops and kicks me back to the playlist screen.

I don't see any options but I'm probably missing something.

In fact when viewing a video from my playlist, even if I click next, the video exits to my playlist screen and I get an error saying "Can't find a next item to play," even with many more videos in the play list.

Any ideas?

(Also is my left control stick on my 360 controller supposed to do anything in XBMC? It doesn't on mine)

Hi guys,
Just wondering how people are logging into youtube within xbmc since Youtube website requires you to log in with google account now? I orginally sat up my youtube account before google took it over and just put in my youtube username and password to log in. However, I have not had to use my youtube password due to logging in via google account and therefore forgot it. Are people logging into youtube within xbmc using their google account?

Yep. The same credentials that log you into anything Google should work. Example: [email protected] and your gmail password should do the trick.
