made an xbmc setup just with youtube addon and redviolet patch but vevo doesn't work for me.

strange that for someone it works.
could someone post a vevo link playable with the addon.

thankyou learngit but nothing to do...... i know that Italy is one of the countries where new youtube service "Music Key" will be activated for beta period.
i'm scared we can't play some videos for that reason.
also videos from "warner music" fail.
don't know if the united states are in beta list.

it depend from the country. just tried a tunneling software to have a US ip and your video in your play list are played.
so sad. guys we need a solution.
coud someone outside italy confirm?
just to add...all videos are played from browser with my ip.

I'm not sure that there is a problem, at least with the addon. Some YouTube videos are country restricted, you can always check with a browser.

i can ensure i play all video from my browser and same videos are not played from xbmc so don't not think depend from country restriction.
i think that for some reason youtube understand that i'm not playing from their site ad doesn't start the stream. they need i stay on youtube.com to gain money isn't it?

[EDIT] Seems though that if you try to use the Youtube addon directly to browse or search for videos it errors out before it even starts to get a link. They play fine if you was to play a direct link from a skin widget or the like.. So I suppose it is the YouTube addons browser or listing function itself that is broken. But if you try to play a link from something other than the YouTube addon it works.
Strange. So I suppose I'll give you a half right on that one.
