Is there a way to reorder tv show view so that the specials folder appears FIRST in the list, opposed to at the end. I assume it's alphabetic and the word "season" appears before the word "specials."

Nothing major, just wondering because I prefer to jump to the end of the list to watch the latest episodes, and it will open specials, when those episodes are in my library.

Thanks for the help

I have a small question that does not really deserve it's own thread, so I decided to post it here. Don't necessarily think it's the right thread, but I hope it's OK.

I've just installed XBMC with the absolutely stunning Night-skin. Really love it! But I wonder, in which directory is the awesome movie and TV Show fanart normally saved?

I would love to use the high res versions of these images as general backgrounds for the skin, but I can't seem to find the pictures in my XBMC installation folder.

I have already my posters for all my movies and all in folders...

how should i name posters to have it automatically recognised?

i tried poster.jpg but it doesn't work...

They are stored in your userdata -- in folder "Thumbnails"

extrafanart goes in extrafanart folder

/TvShows/Dexter/extrafanart

/Movies/The Dark Night/extrafanart

you can't have one big folder with hundreds of images and use it for extrafanart, you can use that folder for your screen saver though or if you have a Movie folder and Tv folder you can set those up as your backdrops and it will cycle though it on the home screen

anything in extrafanart folder will be used regaurdless of fine name
Code:
/Movies/The.Dark.Night/extrafanart
                                |
                               001.jpg
                               darknight.jpg
                               abcd.jpg
                               fanart.jpg
will all be used, if you choose to use extrafanfart in the Night skin in settings it will look for that folder first, if not there it will use your fanart.jpg image you have.

but it's not about extrafanart...Big Grin

it's about posters...cover's movie like this one http://www.themoviedb.org/movie/155/posters

my response was to Jakoozie post number 214 regarding the fanart question.

as far as what posters need to be named?
http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=84800&highlight=artwork+naming
folder.jpg = movie cover in file mode
movie.tbn = poster in library mode

now if the movie as already been imported into your library you need to refresh that movie after you change poster, fanart, movie trailer.

11/9/2010
-Moved extras - Genre icons/fanart - out of /media to top of skin.night folder
-Added music Genre fanart support

If you have these setup, please move to skin.night/extras otherwise they'll no longer work...Needed to move outside /media as it easier for non-git guys to add/subtract images

- Danielocean - 2010-11-09

ok... one more time for stupid guys like me... where i have to put the icons and fanarts?!

music genre fanarts
movie genre fanarts
music genre icons
movie genre icons

at the moment there is the three folders:
skin.night/extras/genrefanart for music/movie fanarts?!
skin.night/extras/moviegenres for movie icons?!
skin.night/extras/musicgenres for music icon?!
