This skin is looking great. But I hope u leave the DVD, bluray logos in as well as the h264 and divx logos as I use these on other skins so I know what they are as I have 1080p that are bluray and h263.

The same for tv shows as these can be in HDTV or web-dl, obols u leave these in just like the Alaska skin as it shows what format there in and just showing 1080 or 720 or 576 is no good as u need to know if there h264 blurays or other

Cheers keep ip the good work

H263 Blu-ray? That's a new one... Blu-ray vid codecs are always H264, VC1, or MPEG2! Wink Unless of course you have re-encoded?

Anyway, a skin will only display the source media flag (DVD, Blu-ray, HDTV, etc) if the source name is part of the filename, i.e. 'Avatar.bluray.mkv'. If that's there and the skin has been coded to show it, then the source flag will appear. In Welo's case, if it's not part of the filename, to prevent an empty space (or the need for a default source flag), the rest of flags will shift over.

Hope that explains.

Cheers

Umm... How does one download this great lookin skin?

- Rygrath - 2011-01-07

You can't. It hasn't been released yet. And before the next question, there is no current ETA. liquidskin76 still has a lot of work to do and will let us know when it's ready Smile

hey liquid!

ever thought about a large wall without any infos (just covers)?
would make the small&large possibility of views complete..

greets

I might be wrong as not seen the finished designs, but I do not think that a wall view would work for this skin.

The whole concept of Welo is that it is top border, bottom border.

A more professional skin, home entertainment users that require a touch of class.

Simple but elegant.

If it is possible, I would not even worry about wall view with Welo, as I honestly think that it would just look cheap and tacky, and that is even without seeing it.

Movie posters, dvd covers are reasonably the only views that are needed.

It is like taking the mona lisa, and painting a moustche on her

yeap, maybe you're right. i just thougt for a wallview on smaller tvs like the one in my bedroom..
and besides, i would prefer mona lisa wearing a big fat moustache Laugh

I've already enlarged the wall view as it was a tad small. I've moved it to a large list background and enlarged the posters.

How does it look?

I think it looks good, which way does it scroll?

- Jezz_X - 2011-01-08

one would hope left to right if it looks like its on a shelf

- liquidskin76 - 2011-01-08

It's up and down at the moment. However, Jezz, you're right... left and right makes more sense considering it's sat on a shelf.

- Japaja - 2011-01-09

Agree it would look better, but up and down gets u 9 posters with single key press and left-right only 2. Smile

- artik - 2011-01-09

liquidskin76 : very cool view, Like Jezz X, I think it's better to scroll it horizontaly Wink

- Rygrath - 2011-01-09

Agreed with Japaja, the whole point of a wall view is to go through a large collection quicker. Moving a 2 row list of posters left or right, you might as well just be in a regular poster list.

Allowing the list to be scrolled through vertically allows natural reading of your collection as you look through them from the left and scan your eyes to the right. Much faster and intuitive. The "it's on a shelf so it makes sense to scroll left/right" I feel doesn't really apply. I'll take usability over "making sense". If you have a list of 600+ movies, it'll take ages to view 2 movies at a time.

Just my 2 cents Smile

Just tested and i see your point. I'll leave as is for the time being.
