the one shared on mediafire is many months old .. I am sure you are much closer to finished now .. i am very very eager ... alaska settings page is a bit kind of pre alpha and now you are what pre beta?

No idea when, however it will be a little while yet! There's still a fair bit to do.

So for the awaiting public, can you give us any ideas of what you are actually doing to the skin in improvements or modifications etc etc?
I know there was slight design faults for the menus but reasonably it seemed pretty completish for how far it had got.

Occasionally the fonts would all bunch up on the menu screen but apart from that was pretty perfect.
You cannot really fault much on the skin if anything really.

There's still loads to do... much more than just improvements or modifications!
-Music section to complete.
-Pictures, Weather, Programs, Favourites, Settings are all still Alaska Revisited.
-Dialogue screens.
-Many more things... design work, code cleanup from Alaska, general polish, etc.
Remember the only parts of the skin that are actually Welo are the home page, movies, tv, and vids. And on some of those screen certain design elements are incomplete. No fault to Welo or Hitcher, however Hitcher could only go so far with what he had. There's still allot of design/mockup work to do.
What i'm doing is building/completing a skin that was maybe 30/40% done (Hitcher... correct me if i'm wrong as that was a very rough estimate!!
). It isn't all done in 5mins!What Hitcher released wasn't an alpha. Just an incomplete skin for someone to hopefully complete.
I know you all want Welo skin bad... i'm working at it (coding most days) and will have it out as soon as humanly possible!

[EDIT:] If we left it as it is, and didn't 100% complete, then it would basically be a Alaska Revisited mod! I can promise that this will be 100% Welo!!

All sounds good, hopefully this will end up being the default skin for XBMC as it needs a more polished image rather than skins that were mainly designed with the Xbox in mind.

Just a quick update. I've been beavering away and things are looking good. Still a little way from a release though.
I've got some great design ideas for future versions, so Welo's future is looking rosy!
