I use batch files because I need to WOL a server with my backups, otherwise i'd use internal lnk support.

This only breaks when using lnk files (as roms) with internal lnk support disabled

Hello Mbbransc,
If you always look your file Launcher.xml, that's where he is on my Windows XP system.
C: \ Documents and Settings \ john.doe \ Application Data \ XBMC \ userdata \ addon_data \ plugin.program.advanced.launcher.

Mbbransc, remember to check "Show hidden files and folders, " If you can not access the file Launcher.xml.
To do this you need to open My Computer then go to Tools / Folder Options / View, then check "Show hidden files and folders. "

Angelscry Wrote:Image caching is managed by XBMC... and I do not know clearly how it works outside add-ons (frequency of cache update). You just have to wait 1 day, and the fanart image will be updated.

Thank you very much. I have recently switch from Alaska.Revisited to Cirrus Extended. So you will receive some feedback from me. Thank you for your great skin... Cool

Hi, Fanart Image has been updated automatically ... so far what i've done for the Addon Info, hope you like it Smile

Hi guys, I've tried to go through the 161 pages on here to find what i need as i'm sure it will have been covered but failed!

I've only just started using XBMC and am now trying to get an emulator set up with advanced launcher. So far i've only tried Snes9x with .smc (as thats all i've found). The Roms work fine when loaded from the software, but i'm having 2 issues from XBMC. The first is that i choose the correct destination folders and add smc to the file types list but when i try to auto add the ROMS it doesnt pick anything up (works manually though). The second issue is that when i load the ROM via XBMC, the software pops up but doesn't load a game unless i manually load it.

If anyone has any advice or an old step by step guide i can check against that would be amazing!

Thanks in advance.

Strange. Normally the fact that your are using lnk files do not interact with the scraping system. The only difference is into the way you start the lnk files vs. the standard rom files. I think it could be related to the case of the extension lnk v. LNK that could generate an error when saving the images files. I will take a look at it. Thank you for your launchers.xml file. Wink

You do not need to read all the pages of this thread, just the first post. All the information you need are here :

Here is what my ESPN3 launchers.xml looks like:

http://pastebin.com/5ka3yU13

To create the shortcut, I right clicked, New, Shortcut. I typed in http://www.espn3.com and then selected Internet Shortcut, clicked OK. When I click on the shortcut, it works.

I can only see a single smb share when i try add a program... whats wrong in my setup?
Can't go up or in the folder... :-(

EDIT: SOLVED
For any other with the same problem: You have to add a drive/source in the file manager in xbmc.
Where's the file manager? Skin dependent.
Mostly there: go to "SYSTEM" and press an arrow-key (right, down, up or so). Then a submenu appears.

Example (Aeon Nox skin)

Angelscry - I'm still having issues for pulling metadata for either stand alone launchers or file launchers. It's not just limited to the Mobygames scraper. I can't seem to pull meta data for anything - I am using the Night skin if it makes a difference...

Finished new view/s to use with AVL and my MOD... it was inspired by front-ends like hyperspin and maximus arcade.

Also a library of +1500 studio game flags that I will soon realese to open use with a series of other media packs (backgrounds-icons-etc) im working on.

Enjoy

i'm having a strange fundamental problem with the initial setup.

for some reason after selecting "launcher type" "file launcher", I can't see any directories in the "select the launcher application"

the only possible option is my p:\ (My Disc) directory.

how can i navigate around to find the .exe i want to use?

edit: fixed problem. had to eject the disc from my dvd drive. odd little bug if you ask me.

All the scrapers are actually working on my system. Could you please give me more information concerning your problem (launchers.xml file and xbmc.log file if you have error message) and clearly explain me what you do to produce your problem.

It is not a bug. It is a XBMC feature. You need to set your network and local directory into XBMC using its file manager.

Angelscry - I deleted my launchers.xml and settings.xml to start from scratch with no result.

My launchers.xml is here: http://pastebin.com/5yRm9sSk

My Log file is here: http://pastebin.com/SdLx85wj

Let me know what you think...

Thanks!
