could you possibly add the ability to scrape from TheVideoGameDB.com?

What is the interest comparatively to other scrappers? Huh

just that it seems to have better information than the other ones. Plus AllGame, seems to not pick-up most of my Genesis games.

Are you serious? According to their websites, the thevideogamedb only contain 6 Genesis game entries (http://thevideogamedb.com/Platforms/5/) when Allgame database contain more than 1000 (http://www.allgame.com/platform.php?id=24&tab=games&page=1&sort=title_ASC). Oo

I was able to get advanced laucher to work well last night with pcsx2, but wasn't able to configure pcsx2 before I quit for the night. Everywhere I go, helps and faq seem to be for the pc based version of pcsx2. I am looking for a linux based version, anyone have any experience with linux/pcsx2?

thats it for me, ps2 emulation and linux do not mix. over my head. if someone else give it a go, im all ears.

Hey,

Even if you did get it working i think there is no chance it will play on your revo.
I have the 3600 and decided that it wasnt worth the effort.

Sorry

Hi I am having an issue running advanced launcher on xbmc with visual boy advance and am curious to see if anyone has encountered the problem before. I have running an extended display and am currently having visual boy advance launch on my secondary display in full screen. This works great by itself and while xbmc is running, if I manually launch visual boy advance it overlays fine over xbmc. Whenever I launch visual boy from within advance launcher though it causes xbmc to switch over to the primary display from the secondary display.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

What OS are you running this on?

Advanced Launcher do not have any control on that. But you can try several things :
  • Try to turn off the Toggle XBMC Fullscreen option of your launcher into Advanced Options : http://www.gwenael.org/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=6#p6
  • Look into vba.ini file if you have a parameter that give you the possibility to select the default display used by VBA.
  • If it's not working, you will need to create a small bash script that will set/change your primary/second monitor before starting VBA or reduce/minimize/suspend/close XBMC

It is on Windows and definitely thinkig i probably need a script that will reduce/minimize/suspend/close XBMC. VBA opens on the correct monitor fine it is just XBMC that switches monitors, unfortunately I have no idea on how to do this!

Thank you for the advice though!

And I will try the first option here in a bit and see if that fixes things

Edit: The first option of toggling fullscreen seemed to fix the issue thanks!

Mac OS X No Support for Advanced Launch? - FreshX - 2011-04-12

I have tried this repeatedly on OSX (10.5.5) just to launch Calc as a test, no luck.

Does anyone have luck with this on the Macintosh as a launcher from XBMC?

Thanks.

Wow, I didn't know about this add on. Cool concept. Fresh, I just tried the Calc. It seems to have worked. Didnt' do anything spectacularly different other than point to the calc.app. Have to play around with this and see what cool things we can do here. Wonder if it will work on aTV2 and run an app remotely from the mac....wishful thinking perhaps Smile

Hi angelscry do u know if exist a specific parameter so in PCSX-Reloaded i can go back to menu and use load-save state, im using windows 7, outside xbmc i use esc and automatic it shows the menu so i can save anywhere in the game, when i finish saving PCSX go back to ingame, is there any way i can save that way when im using it in Advanced Launcher? do i need a parameter i wish it could be done.Thanks.
