- bakito - 2011-08-07 yeah I see my stupidity....sorry for the loss of time! thanks again! - marjanovich - 2011-08-07 Heya scry long time no chat, got a new one for ya... Is it possible to within launcher...launch (wait for it) an internal xbmc favirote/feature? Ie I have a folder (folder A) with a bunch of lnks (f*cking spectacular addition since last year I might add) then very next folder (folder B) I'd like to link to a xbmc favirote which is a movie collection (video walkthroughs for the games in folder A) so technically the B link is simplly a activate.window etc... Can this be done? Or manually made in the launchers.xml in such a way that AL will understand its turning around and handing back to xbmc instead of actually starting an exe or rom? For example could I use the rom args as the xbmc script? - mandark - 2011-08-07 hi angelscry! i got a small feature suggestion: some programs take some seconds to actually start-up, which could cause impatiant people to press "ENTER" once more, which further results in launching the program twice. as a solution, a visible feedback immediately after AL has launched the item would be great. you could use a XBMC-built-in notification like this: xbmc.executebuiltin('XBMC.Notification("Launching Item","%itemname%",3000,"%pathToALIcon%")') - Angelscry - 2011-08-07 marjanovich Wrote:Heya scry long time no chat, got a new one for ya...What you mean is to add a feature into Advanced Launcher to manage video files (like roms) and play them using XBMC instead on an external player. That's it? - Angelscry - 2011-08-07 mandark Wrote:hi angelscry! That's a good idea. That's it? Not exactly that much of an overkill, mostly looking at if its even possible to have application X, not parse an exe but just pass an activate.window to xbmc... They way it works now is you pick app x, if app x is a standalone it executes it and passes along rom args to it making for a almost command line launcher (with a sexy cover) if app x is a lnk launcher it skips the exe and launchs the shortcut directly in win, what I'm looking at is... Can app x, skip a exe/windows command and send the activate.window to xbmc - Angelscry - 2011-08-07 marjanovich Wrote:Not exactly that much of an overkill, mostly looking at if its even possible to have application X, not parse an exe but just pass an activate.window to xbmc...In theory, yes it is possible to add this kind of feature (just an option to add to each launcher). But... what kind of parameter do you want to pass into activate.window() to XBMC? What do you want to do with? - marjanovich - 2011-08-08 Angelscry Wrote:In theory, yes it is possible to add this kind of feature (just an option to add to each launcher). ActivateWindow(videofiles,[VIDEOSOURCENAMEHERE],return) So I can favorite a folder or particular video, open the favorites.xml grab the location and place in the launchers.xml Thank you btw for assisting in this strange request, just trying to make wife and kids life easier and therefore mine as well - Angelscry - 2011-08-08 marjanovich Wrote:ActivateWindow(videofiles,[VIDEOSOURCENAMEHERE],return)Ok... I clearly understand your request now. I will try to add this internal video support for the next version of Advanced Launcher. - marjanovich - 2011-08-08 Thanks... dont worry i wont harrass you for another year after this one...lol seems to be my way - zugol - 2011-08-08 Hi Angelscry Angelscry Wrote:Your problem is directly linked to the use of the standalone version of XBMC that make XBMC directly linked to X window. If you want to use XBMC under linux and also use external apllicastion with advanced launcher, it better tou have your windows manager and XBMC independant (like when you are under gnome). You can use a lightweight windows manager (like opdenbox) and directly start xbmc when with windows manager is started. I followed your recomandations and it works fine for Doplhine-emu but new problems now appends with this new setup... The sound seems to crash most of time (xbmc navigation sound is ok but nothing in pcsx-r as an exemple or video playback) and I can't escape emulators without command line killall. I've tried to kill xbmc in a script but it doesn't solve anything... - Angelscry - 2011-08-08 zugol Wrote:The sound seems to crash most of time (xbmc navigation sound is ok but nothing in pcsx-r as an exemple or video playback) and I can't escape emulators without command line killall. To quit, try ALT+F4 key combination. For your sound problem, it more looks like a driver problem of you sound card under Linux. I cannot really help you for this. zugol Wrote:I don't know if it's a side effect but in pcsx-r saving is no longer possible. You can save during the game but if your run it again, there's nothing... Save is empty...If you start pcsx-r as standalone, does it save correctly? Where are stored the save files? Do you have the rights to access the folder where are stored the save files. I did not play at all with the save functionnality of pcsx-r, but if you want to start a game with it state file, you will need to indicate somewhere to load the save file at start (into pcsx-r GUI or by using the command line), no? - zugol - 2011-08-08 Angelscry Wrote:To quit, try ALT+F4 key combination. I was using a copy of the .pcsx folder and the path to memory files was the old one and I had no right to write those files. It's okay now ! Thanks again !!! The sound problem seem to come from ubuntu sound control... - Xarxas - 2011-08-08 Hi. How can i add link to a application to home screen? |
