RE: [RELEASE] Advanced Launcher - Applications Launcher Addon for XBMC - Angelscry - 2014-10-13 (2014-10-13, 05:54)S3N1L3AN1MAL Wrote: Thank you for the response, especially to noobish and (I imagine) frequently asked questions. That's 2 different add-ons. You can use both on your XBMC system. RE: [RELEASE] Advanced Launcher - Applications Launcher Addon for XBMC - S3N1L3AN1MAL - 2014-10-13 I'm new to XBMC add-ons (as I'm sure you can tell). I wonder though, if the 2 can work in tandem to create a game library, or if they would be treated as totally separated. At any rate, I think I'll download both. PS: Downloaded Advanced Launcher and enjoying it. Sticking with it exclusively due to possibility of genre+console screen, versatility, surprisingly easy to use; No need for RCB. Looking forward to getting the library configed. Thanks again. RE: [RELEASE] Advanced Launcher - Applications Launcher Addon for XBMC - rbrohman - 2014-10-14 I'm running Gotham based Openelec. I have some script files for launching connections to openvpn servers. The scripts work perfectly if I ssh into the box and run them from command line. However, I cannot seem to get them working with advanced launcher. Script file is very simple: Code: openvpn --config /storage/downloads/openvpn/East.ovpn --auth-user-pass /storage/downloads/openvpn/password.txt & Code: 20:34:32 T:140027534006016 WARNING: CActiveAE::StateMachine - signal: 0 from port: OutputControlPort not handled for state: 6 I had this working on my last setup, but stupidly forgot to document exactly how I did it. Can anyone spot my mistake? Thanks RE: [RELEASE] Advanced Launcher - Applications Launcher Addon for XBMC - Stev - 2014-10-14 I'm trying to create AutoIt scripts for Advanced Launcher using pstools to pause the XBMC process. It works fine for some games, and the pstools stuff seems to work fine - but there are two games that just won't run. They both give different messages: One simply gives the standard windows dialog for 'exe has stopped working'. This particular file has some unusual info on the 'target' field of the shortcut (which may be causing the problem, I'm not sure exactly how to feed that info into the AutoIt script). The exact target is: Code: X:\Games\PC\Gauntlet\binaries\gauntlet.exe -bundle-dir contents -ini settings The other game states, in a generic 'Error' dialog: 'Failed to initialize client - unable to load game resources.' There doesn't seem to be anything funky going on with the target for this one, and running the exe from the folder launches the game fine (the first one gives the same 'stopped working' error message if you try to run from the game folder) Any help would be greatly appreciated. They both give different messages: Stev - try to create a batch run script for each of those games and run that script from within the Autoit script. I have some random games that won't work if I "run" or "shellexecute" them from Autoit. But the BAT files work 100%. RE: [RELEASE] Advanced Launcher - Applications Launcher Addon for XBMC - S3N1L3AN1MAL - 2014-10-18 I've got my games library looking incredible, but it seems only emulator roms are searchable and my IBM PC labeled stuff isn't. Details: I created a new category called "PC" and filled it with executables/shortcuts to games. I then scraped/defined all info for each one. When clicking on both the "PC" category and the game thumbnails and searching for each criteria it comes up blank. Also, is it possible to create a query launcher that searches both genre and platform (for example: NES Shooters)? I know little of coding, but would this work? Code: <args>ActivateWindow(10001,"plugin://plugin.program.advanced.launcher/?NintendoEntertainmentSystem/%%SEARCH_PLATFORM%%/?Shooter/%%SEARCH_GENRE%%)</args> If anyone has suggestions or further reading, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you. RE: [RELEASE] Advanced Launcher - Applications Launcher Addon for XBMC - beckyboo - 2014-10-18 Hi all, I hope I am in the right place to ask this, I seem to be going round in circles. I'm using Advanced Launcher on my Zotac box with OpenElec. I have set it up to look for SNES Roms and it has imported them with covers and fanart just fine. However, when I attempt to launch a game it does nothing. I am using RetroArch for my emulator, should I be using anything else? RE: [RELEASE] Advanced Launcher - Applications Launcher Addon for XBMC - Angelscry - 2014-10-18 (2014-10-18, 10:26)beckyboo Wrote: Hi all, I hope I am in the right place to ask this, I seem to be going round in circles. How have you configurated your RetroArch / SNES files launcher? RE: [RELEASE] Advanced Launcher - Applications Launcher Addon for XBMC - S3N1L3AN1MAL - 2014-10-18 (2014-10-18, 14:49)Angelscry Wrote: What do you mean exactly by "searching for each criteria" and "comes up blank"? It seems like Advanced Launcher is treating IBM PC as non-searchable. When only my PC library was configured, if I tried to search it, it would return a blank results window. Now it will return data, but only from emulators. Here's what I mean: 1. PC Library (blatant rip-off of screenshot on page 1 ) -Note "Shooter" Left 4 Dead 2 2. PC Category Right-Click Menu 3. Selecting Search>Genre>Shooter 4. Results of Search>Genre>Shooter -Note that L4D2 is not present IBM PC is skipped over when creating a Query Launcher as well. Thank you for any assistance. RE: [RELEASE] Advanced Launcher - Applications Launcher Addon for XBMC - Angelscry - 2014-10-18 Left 4 Dead 2 is a stand-alone launcher or an item (.lnk)? RE: [RELEASE] Advanced Launcher - Applications Launcher Addon for XBMC - S3N1L3AN1MAL - 2014-10-18 (2014-10-18, 17:53)Angelscry Wrote: Left 4 Dead 2 is a stand-alone launcher or an item (.lnk)? It seems to be pointed to an .Ink, but I believe I added them as stand alone launchers. PS: Confirmed all PC library games were added as stand alone launchers that point to shortcut .Inks because I'm unable to add PC games as items like you can with emulators (via right click menu "add items'). If I add an emulator called "PC" and tell it to use a useless .bat file, I can then add PC games as items. However it will not let me select .Ink files (even though .Ink support is turned on and specified), only .Exes. These items are then searchable, but un-launchable (they get a script error, because of the useless .bat file, I guess). Does your repository contain additional files, or is the same as the .Zip I got from Github? RE: [RELEASE] Advanced Launcher - Applications Launcher Addon for XBMC - M4tt0 - 2014-10-18 Have been trying to get Colin McRae 2005 running via the standalone launcher but does not work. I think because of resolution issues. Kodi/XBMC is set to run on 720p on my HD ready TV. CMR runs on 1080i in compatibility mode. When I launch it from within Kodi I can see that the TV tries to switch the resolution to 1080i but then gets stuck. The picture returns to Kodi and Kodi wants to use 1080i too (which is sub-optimal). CMR continues to run in the background but I get no picture. Running Helix Alpha 3 on a Win 8.1 system. I'm using XBMC Launcher to boot into kodi directly. Any advice appreciated... |
