What do you mean exactly by four squares? Could you please pastebin a plot containing this character?

Strange... The win32.exe file is a win32 application and has been compiled as it. So you must be able to start it. Hummmm... could you check the size (in Kb) of the win32.exe file? It is maybe corrupted or your anti-virus has blocked it. Confused

Hello Angelscry, I use version 1.1.0 of Advanced Launcher and Windows XP.
Delighted that the Roma, including a comma is now cast.
However, other problems have emerged:

1) I get an error when I run a rom with the emulator Kega Fusion, when XBMC is
full screen (and only if XBMC is in full screen).
Here is what appears on the screen:
http://img823.imageshack.us/i/erreurekegafusion.jpg/

2) sometimes when I run a rom with an emulator (whatever it is) XBMC is in the foreground.

3) At the output of an emulator, most of the time XBMC is minimized in the taskbar.

My configuration Advanced Launcher is the same as that which appears on your image page 138.

In my case, if I tick the "Use a window to full screen instead of the real
full screen in XBMC, everything seems to work perfectly.

Another problem is that the loader for Neo-Geo CD, which reads the contents, no longer works on version 1.1.0:

daemon.exe -mount 0, % 1
ncdz.exe
daemon.exe -unmount 0

Thumbtack the ball, how do I send a screenshot to show you the error that appears in Kega Fusion please ?

Thank you Angelscry, I inserted the link to the image.

It is how you have to configure XBMC to use Advanced Launcher with most of the applications.

john.doe Wrote:Another problem is that the loader for Neo-Geo CD, which reads the contents, no longer works on version 1.1.0:

daemon.exe -mount 0, % 1
ncdz.exe
daemon.exe -unmount 0
Ok... I have not tested yet ncdz emulator, but your script not have to be more like this (without space between % and 1) to call the first argument :
Code:
daemon.exe -mount 0, [b]%1[/b]
ncdz.exe
daemon.exe -unmount 0
Also, if you have some spaces into your path (%1 argument) it will not work. I think it may be better to add quotation (it is always better to add quotation anyway) like this :
Code:
daemon.exe -mount 0, [b]"%1"[/b]
ncdz.exe
daemon.exe -unmount 0
I will take a look at this ncdz launcher... It could be also related to a problem with the new version to start .bat files. Anyway... I have to ckeck. Wink

- Angelscry - 2011-02-08

Could temporary do the job : First create this ncdz-launcher.bat into ncdz.exe directory :
Code:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\DAEMON Tools Lite\DTLite.exe" -mount 0,%1
ncdz.exe
"C:\Program Files (x86)\DAEMON Tools Lite\DTLite.exe" -unmount 0
Then here is the launchers.xml file for the configuration :
Code:
<application>C:\Program Files (x86)\NeoGeo_CDZ_Emulator_V20051225_win\ncdz-launcher.bat</application>
<args>"%rom%"</args>
<rompath>E:\neogeocd\roms\</rompath>
<thumbpath>E:\neogeocd\covers\</thumbpath>
<fanartpath>E:\neogeocd\fanarts\</fanartpath>
<extrafanartpath>E:\neogeocd\fanarts\</extrafanartpath>
<romext>cue</romext>
...
It is working, but it is not perfect for me. Actual problems are :
  • the ugly .bat windows that still present when starting the emulator. This could be solved by creating a small autoit script that will do the same job.
  • the new advanced launcher version is not able to monitor the state of .bat file. I will modify the win32.exe script to monitor the cmd.exe process for .bat launchers. This problem will also be solved by the previously created autoit script.

It's 294 KB (301.645 Bytes) and I have no Anti-Virus on my HTPC.
This issue exists first with the new update to 1.1.0.

Before that, everything worked fine.

Could you please upload the win32.exe individually?
I would try to replace it.

Edit:
Replaced it with the one from the googlecode page - same issue / error.

- Angelscry - 2011-02-08

Do a better job : First create the ncdz-launcher.au3 file into ncdz.exe directory and compile it as ncdz-launcher.exe using autoit :
Code:
If $CmdLine[0] == 1 Then
    RunWait('"C:\Program Files (x86)\DAEMON Tools Lite\DTLite.exe" -mount 0,"' & $CmdLine[1] & '"')
    RunWait('ncdz.exe')
    RunWait('"C:\Program Files (x86)\DAEMON Tools Lite\DTLite.exe" -unmount 0')
EndIf
Exit 0
Then edit the launchers.xml file like this :
Code:
<application>C:\Program Files (x86)\NeoGeo_CDZ_Emulator_V20051225_win\ncdz-launcher.exe</application>
<args>"%rom%"</args>
<rompath>E:\neogeocd\roms\</rompath>
<thumbpath>E:\neogeocd\covers\</thumbpath>
<fanartpath>E:\neogeocd\fanarts\</fanartpath>
<extrafanartpath>E:\neogeocd\fanarts\</extrafanartpath>
<romext>cue</romext>
...
That's all...

Try this one : http://www.gwenael.org/xbmc-misc/win32.exe
This is not compiled the same way. Tell me if it is working or not. Shocked

Ok the latest version broke something for me.

Can no longer launch .lnk files, it says addon.py failed and the log:

Quote:23:38:29 T:3936 M:2844483584 ERROR: Traceback (most recent call last):

Win32 IS a valid application, for some reason it's trying to launch %rom instead of emulator. My .lnk file links to bsnes.bat. Same issue goes if I try to launch a standard launcher that has a .lnk instead of the exe directly. If I change the launcher launch bsnes.bat directly it works but my batch launches xpadder and tracks for bsnes-performance.dll.

I tried other .lnk files and it's not working either. So .lnk support seems to be broken now. Was ok yesterday

A workaround for the DOS window was create a shortcut to the bat file and set it to start minimized but now you can't launch .lnk files. I understand why you like autoit but using batch files allows me and others potentially to do many stuff. Can I track a secondary process using autoit? Say for example bsnes. When you open bsnes the bsnes.exe process closes immediately and it starts bsnes-performance.dll. So this autoit should track bsnes-performance.dll instead not bsnes.exe.

Also a feature request to workaround the DOS window, an option to start the application minimized, that fixed the ugly dos window issue Big Grin

I was never able to chose .lnk files when creating a luncher but it worked fine if I edited launchers.xml. Now it won't work.

I will return Advanced Launcher to version 1.0.6. Windows sucks.
