[WINDOWS] RC2 and plugin MCERemote (J Rennie) - nietgiftig - 2010-12-03 A week ago I installed RC1. This was my first experience with XBMC Had some trouble with my remote, but discovered a very usefull plugin MCERemote. I was very happy This morning i installed RC2 Now when I play a video (avi, wmv) I can't use (among others) the FF, REW, Stop buttons anymore. This worked in RC1 normal. I can't find the plugins that i installed anymore. Also the MCEremote plugin disappeared. I had in RC1 the choice to install a plugin via "add from a zip file", but i can't find that menu item anymore. There are now (for me new) SVN Repo's that were not visible in RC1. But I can't find the MCERemote plugin in all these repo's. I'm somewhat confused. Are there big changes in the operation of XBMC between two release candidates? Can someone give me a hint where to look or what to do Thanks in advance - jhsrennie - 2010-12-03 I've just installed RC2, and if I go to Settings, Add-ons there is an option to install from a zip. However a better option is to select "Get Add-ons" then "XBMC.org Add-ons" then "Program Add-ons" and choose "MCERemote" from the list. If you install this way XBMC will automatically notify you of updates. The zip is at http://xbmcmce.sourceforge.net/ if you really want it. JR - nietgiftig - 2010-12-03 Sorry for the noise. I just made a new install after an complete removal and new download I have it working again. Must have been an error on my side. Thanks for replying, great plugin! - BigSandy - 2010-12-04 Can i find a modified file keyboard.xmc - jhsrennie - 2010-12-04 BigSandy Wrote:Can i find a modified file keyboard.xmc Assuming you mean keyboard.xml, EliteGamer360 has a tweaked keyboard.xml at http://xbmccustomregis.sourceforge.net/ Alternatively, if you use Windows there is a keymap editor applet at http://xbmcmce.sourceforge.net/, or the MCERemote add-on has a keymap editor integrated.
