PseudoTV and Icelibrary - cfm56 - 2011-11-07

Jason, I want to bump the topic of the IceLibrary Opening Stream freeze. I also experienced this last night. Way awesome plugin, I didn't fully understand it until I got it all working. From the Video library, it does initiate the Icefilms videos flawlessly, but when Pseudo tried to queue up a film from Icefilms, it does hang on "Opening Stream" on my system as well. I was thinking it would be an easy fix, or maybe it was just me, but now that I have researched it here, it seems it isn't only me and that you think it will be a tough fix. Wow, if that piece worked, man that would be awesome.

Hoping you can give it another look, and I'm willing to send logs too if you think it would help, though I'm sure you already have enough. Tell me where they are stored and I can send it.

Thanks

Shane

I agree with cfm56 - If you could get round this it would really change the game big time. PTV is an amazing plugin as it is - The only problem I have with it is not enough time to play with it Smile
If you could allow the Icelibrary streams to work flawlessy it basically opens up the entire tv catalogue to us. AMAZING!

I completely agree. Unfortunately, I'm on a business trip right now and can't actually test anything. I swear I'll look at it when I get back...at some point. Believe me, it's on the radar.

Yay! Good luck on your trip. Thanks again for such a super plugin!

But if you could just take a few hours out of your trip and look at it... JUST KIDDING!!! Enjoy your trip. Stop reading this thread when you are on your trip. enjoy the time away. We will survive without you.

Since installing this addon i have been watching af total of zero hours normal television, I love it!

Recently I noticed an update to the channel configuration, adding a directory. Weirdly enough it looks like the paths I get to choose from, is the external harddrives I had connected while installing pseudotv for the first time. I tried deleting and reinstalling Pseudotv, but with no success. I still can't choose my current corrected external HDD drive as a directory.

Anyone with a solution to the problem? I will even throw in a little bonus-question: Is it possible to map a button on my remote to start the Pseudotv-addon? If so, how?

Thanks for your time, swaq.

swaq, like i've just mentioned - you MUST add your drives in XBMC's "File Manager" to be able to use their directories in PseudoTV.

Jason, I would also like to mention i'm having the same problem as the Kiwi guy - some of my shows are marked as "Watched" even if I only channel surf.
I don't think you will be able to fix this as you are using XBMC's video player...but somehow there must be a solution...

I also wanted to know if it would be possible to control the Channel Logo's opacy through a setting (even if its in an INI file or something not to overwhelm new users in the settings window)
or, wouldn't it perhaps even be better to use full opacy on the Logo's, so that we can control the exact opacy via editing of the PNG image?
Right now, even if part of the logo PNG is at 100% opacy, PseudoTV still makes it transparent =/

edit: actually, how about just making an option: "transparent channel logos" ? (enabled by default)
then the noobs have transparent logo's, and some of us can change it to exactly what we want by editing the PNG itself?

You may need to go into the file manager (System > File Manager) and add / delete those external sources.

Anything than can be done from the XBMC GUI or should I find a config-file somewhere to edit?

I looked in the XBMC-folder, but did not find a suitable file to make that entry, should I have been looking someplace else?

Edit: http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Keymap.xml

Thanks a lot!

Thanks a lot!

It's very easy to add an entry into keymap...
look for keyboard.xml or keymap.xml both can be found in \xbmc\system\keymaps\

if you want your changes to stay after an xbmc upgrade create your own keymap.xml in xbmc\userdata\keymaps\

Sranshaft Wrote:If you're using the nightlies and still having trouble try downloading this http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3687220/skin.refocus%20for%20PseudoTV%202.0.0.zip and replace the version that is included with PseudoTV.

No luck. I also checked the debug log and nothing seems to be missing or no warnings about missing assets (save some missing channel logos). Just to make sure I'm not being dumb here ... these files live in the script's directory, not the skin's directory?

I really need help. PseaudoTV will not populate channels. It wants me t o scan the library, which i did. im running the latest open elec, and ptv 2.0 . I've updated, rescanned, did everything I can think of. I had this working on xbmclive just a couple of days a go. Is there a setting I need to tweek?

- swaq - 2011-11-14

Works like a charm with the RunScript. Five seconds more of pseudotv-watching every day Wink
