Use PCIe splitter in Apple TV - superdust - 2011-01-20 Hi Just bought a Apple TV box, and planning on modding it. I want to add the BCM970015 HD card. But I want to keep the wireless function. Anybody know if it`s possible to use a PCIe splitter like this: http://www.amfeltec.com/products/minipcie-splitter2.php Think, with a bit of work, that I could fit both cards inside the box. And I would prefer that, to an external solution. - kar200 - 2011-01-21 Pretty cool device. I doubt you will be able to fit that inside though. You might want to use a wireless USB stick. It is probably a cheaper and easier option. - davilla - 2011-01-21 Nice, you could stick two crystalhd's on it. or an nvidia card that's capable of vdpau. - Philmatic - 2011-01-21 Oh oh, superdust has unleashed a beast if this works! - waldo22 - 2011-01-21 davilla Wrote:Nice, you could stick two crystalhd's on it. or an nvidia card that's capable of vdpau. I'm assuming you're making a joke? I doubt your driver supports 2 CrystalHDs? Knowing you (virtually speaking), it probably does. |
