[AppleTV2] ATV2 get's XBMC - rdubya - 2011-01-21 Saw this on Engadget, http://www.engadget.com/2011/01/20/xbmc-comes-to-the-new-apple-tv/ Looks like Davilla has been busy Edit by mod: http://www.tuaw.com/2011/01/20/xbmc-for-ios-and-atv2-now-available/ - bmcclure937 - 2011-01-21 Awesome! I literally just read this on Engadget. This is ridiculous. Does it handle 1080p? - stubro - 2011-01-21 This is great news! Might mean the boxee box goes on eBay. - gabbott - 2011-01-21 Also on the front page here too: http://xbmc.org/theuni/2011/01/20/you-asked-for-it-xbmc-for-appletv2-ipad-iphone4/ Looks great, runs on ipad too. - Kryspy - 2011-01-21 DVD ISO support ? Kryspy - Philmatic - 2011-01-21 What the hell? Scott, you cheeky bastard! - jmarshall - 2011-01-21 Pretty much everything that you can play on XBMC for <insert_platform_here> will work just fine. - anothergene - 2011-01-21 this is awesome! My only questions with respect the atv2 are: What kind of bitrate will it decode smoothly on 1080p video? I have a concern about the 100 Mb wired ethernet with 1080p video on a file server. Also, will it do auto frame rate detection? - gabbott - 2011-01-21 anothergene Wrote:I have a concern about the 100 Mb wired ethernet with 1080p video on a file server. Should be fine for streaming 1080p content, even native bluray. - pike - 2011-01-21 http://www.tuaw.com/2011/01/20/xbmc-for-ios-and-atv2-now-available/ - ubuntuf4n - 2011-01-21 http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=88265 http://xbmc.org/ - Hidd3nFury - 2011-01-21 I'm probably gonna go get one tomorrow :/ I wanna know if its gonna be able to sleep/wake directly into the xbmc app cos frankly I don't want to ever see/use iOS. - Kryspy - 2011-01-21 Firmware 4.1 can be jailbroken untethered from what I read? Kryspy - Philmatic - 2011-01-21 I got it installed on my iPhone 4, pretty incredible work if you ask me. Just in case you are wondering, XBMC stores it's userdata folder in /var/mobile/Library/Preferences/XBMC/userdata/ I found out because I changed the resolution and got my self stuck with only a quarter of the interface visible. Deleting the guisettings.xml file got me back to normal. - MrButtons454 - 2011-01-21 doesn't work on my ipad yet, 4.2.1 tethered jailbreak. working for anyone else? |
