I have a problem with tvheadend. i add the muxes manuely. all is OK. But sometimes ALL the muxes have 0% quality, and xbmc says "too bad signal quality". But the signal is OK. I delete the old one and add them again all is 100% again. I use the technotrend s-3200 USB TV card. What can I do? please help!! - lewy - 2011-05-16 Hi kojote, I had the same problem (and some more ) with the same tuner on my Zacate with fresh natty. I solved the problem changing dushmaniac's ppa from natty to maverick and reinstalling xbmc and tvheadend. I don't know if your problem is related. Problems with xbmc were probably related to missing libva for natty in dushmaniac's ppa (guessing) but I have no idea what might be wrong with tvheadend - no errors in syslog. - kojote - 2011-05-16 lewy Wrote:Hi kojote, Hi lewy Thanks. I'm using lucid. Do you think it is the TV Tuner? I think about to buy the DigitalDevices Cine 2. - lewy - 2011-05-16 kojote Wrote:Hi lewy No idea. Tuner works perfectly with scan-s2. - MindGuerrillas - 2011-05-16 Hi, I've just started to get the same error as reported below in the quote. I'm using a qbox s2 usb tuner. Did anyone ever find a solution for this? I've searched the forums here and can't find it mentioned elsewhere. moontan77 Wrote:anyone have any problems with tvheadend crashing using usb tv tuners? I am using ubuntu karmic and this seems to happen nearly every day. Using dushmaniac's latest tvheadend build at the moment. - opdenkamp - 2011-05-16 @MindGuerrillas: better ask for help on tvheadend's forum or irc channel. - bas.t - 2011-05-17 This is interesting: I recorded a show yesterday but it was dated 1970-1-1 I'm puzzeled... Don't know how I did this. Could not properly skip and jump during playback. Timesettings on both backend (tvheadend) as well as frontend (xbmc) look OK Deleted the show, rebooted the backend an recorded something else, no problem... - phofman - 2011-05-17 kojote Wrote:I have a problem with tvheadend. i add the muxes manuely. all is OK. This happens to me when I disconnect cable from the sat card. Signal quality for all muxes drops to 0%, "too bad signal quality". After connecting, the signal quality indicator in tvheadend web gui grows only very slowly, unable to play the channels in xbmc afterwards. I had to leave the PC working overnight to have all muxes at 100% in the morning. Time cures, but I wonder why - phofman - 2011-05-17 Please, what can be the reason for having "no information available" for many (not all) channels in xbmc, while the EPG page in tvheadend web GUI lists all the channels correctly? Restarting xbmc does not help. Latest ubuntu lucid packages from stable xbmc-pvr PPA. Thanks a lot. And thanks a lot for the great work, each xbmc-pvr version is a huge step forward. - kojote - 2011-05-17 phofman Wrote:This happens to me when I disconnect cable from the sat card. Will not do this again. :confused2: Thanks - opdenkamp - 2011-05-17 @phofman / @kojote try disabling "monitor signal quality" in the tvheadend webui. the values aren't correct for all dvb adapters. - kojote - 2011-05-17 OK Thanks for your good work !!!!! I'm very happy with my XBMC now. - phofman - 2011-05-17 dushmaniac Wrote:@phofman / @kojote Thanks for the tip, I will try. Still it seems to me as if the signal quality code did some kind of moving average since it takes several hours for the value to grow enough for tvheadend to consider the stream quality acceptable. The bar charts in xbmc stream info seem to have reasonable values - signal and quality around 50% which corresponds to values output by szap. BTW I fine-tuned my dish using szap yesterday But I guess this discussion is more appropriate for the tvheadend forum. - konti - 2011-05-19 dushmaniac Wrote:@jack_burton @konti I installed the latest NVIDIA ion drivers. Could it have something to do with the SVN version Tvheadend i'm using? - kojote - 2011-05-19 dushmaniac Wrote:@phofman / @kojote Hi It is something with the switch from vertical to horizontal. When i disconnect the cable all vertikal muxes are still there. But i am not able to switch to the horizontal one. I use dvbviewer wtih windows too. When i start dvbviewer and swtich to a horzontal channel all is OK. I give him 10 minutes to "load" and start xbmc. All is OK. I'm using a single LNB with an inline amp maybe its something about this. Ok it is the amp!!! Problem solved |
