i installed drivers succesfully - no problems, i was able to find analog channels using Tvtime.

the remote works as well but:

configured tvheadend like you postet in your tutorial, but:

under configuration -> TV Adapters .... chose my tv adapter "Sundtek DVB-C"

click every radio buttom like you explained...

NIT-o Network ID - did i find running my tv status informations -> network id ? 40984

using Kabel-BW Germany.

than i added my DVB Network location... Germany -> Kabel BW

but nothing happend - no channels

and

Muxes awaiting initial scan: is still 1 after 1 hour .. Sad

what should i do ? does this work with ubuntu 11.04 ?

Do you have checked "idle scan" in the tvheadend webinterface?

Sorry if this was asked before, but a search of this thread for bluray turned up empty.

I am right now using the Mario Sitz PPA for the bluray support, but would like to also have PVR. Does anyone know if this version has bluray support compiled in? If not, any alternative, other than building from source, for having both bluray and PVR?

Thanks!

Hi to everybody!

For some time I search an solution for live tv streamin on network(LAN), and I found tvheadend to be the right sollution for me BUT:
I didn't manage to setup my TV tunner card Asus TV-FM 7135
(http://lxr.linux.no/linux+v2.6.31/Documentation/video4linux/CARDLIST.saa7134 - numer 53)
I use ubuntu lucid server with latest updates. For the moment I give up with this card BUT
Yesterday a friend give me an Pinnacle PCTV Hybrid Stick Solo 330e.
By default this card not working but after I read this post :
http://linuxpc.info/node/51
I manage to install it on my sistem: Biostar G31-M7 with intel dual core 2.5 GHz, 1 g ram , and wach tv with tvtime (sound not working god who nows why)
When I go to http://LAN_IP:9981 at Configuration and TV adapters, I can't see any kind of tv adapters.

My question: what I'm doing wrong!

changing channels - stasis - 2011-06-24

Hi All,

Currently using XBMC and TVHeadend on an ubuntu base. Is there a way to get the screen to fade to black during channel changes? I currently get slight ghosting while the new channel is processed and displayed. ( The wife finds it ugly )

- XanDaph - 2011-06-24

Hi Dushmaniac,

Using you tvheadend + xbmc-pvr build for many months now, very smooth, again my compliments!!

Everything was running smooth till a few weeks ago... then tvheadend was starting to crash every now and then.. Is not that big problem, just start it up again and it's working again.. BUT it is happening more and more now, sometimes a few times in the hour, so it's starting to annoy at the moment. I hope you can point me in the right direction for solving this problem.

It happens very randomly: switching channels in xbmc; deleting a channel in tvheadend; map DVB channels; etc.

Here is my crashlog: http://pastebin.com/8xw2a1rF

My tvheadend server is a 64-bits Ubuntu 10.04.2

Thanks!

have you checked: /var/log/mediaclient.log for errors...

some times you get errors locking... if you have used the card in windows...
then you need to run: /opt/bin/mediaclient --dtvtransfermode=iso -d /dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0

and then pull and replug the card...

I've just finished setting up TVHeadend and entered my Username and Pasword during the install.

When going to http://xbmclive:9981 it asks for it. I enter it, but it does not accept it?

You could manualy create the desired accesscontrol file.
Do:
Code:
mkdir -p /home/hts/.hts/tvheadend/accesscontrol

nano /home/hts/.hts/tvheadend/accesscontrol/1

and fill it with this:

(Adjust network string to match your network and you may want to use a real username and password).

Code:
{
    "enabled": 1,
    "username": "*",
    "password": "*",
    "comment": "New entry",
    "prefix": "192.168.1.0/24",
    "streaming": 1,
    "dvr": 1,
    "webui": 1,
    "admin": 1,
    "id": "1"
}

Save the file

Now do:

Code:
cd /home/hts

chown -R hts.video .hts

chown hts.hts /home/hts

/etc/init.d/tvheadend restart

Done.

Bas.

Hi i followed the instruction:

my card :STB0899 Multistandard

add dvb network by location: i select Astra 19.2 and set network id to 1: i don't know if this is right.

there are 78 Muxes and after a while the status is: Muxes awaiting initial scan:0

after that i clicked on: Map DVB Services to channels

no tvheadend seems to tune the channels..

this is the log..:
