hmmm Blush

Why is it that you always work out the answer after doing a post that makes you look like a complete noob Blush

You should post your solution nevertheless for everyone who maybe gets in contact with a similiar problem like yours!

I installed xbmc on Mythubuntu 11.04 where I use the xbmc-pvr version. It's without any doubt a great tool. There is only one problem I covered, when I start my htpc than I have really lot of mess, because xbmc is starting directly without trouble but then when I start with the Live-Tv session it fails. ASAP when the process is started than the message trough TVheadend appears "No hardware found". After a new start it can run without trouble. What can I do in this case? Please will anybody be so kind and guide me to the heaven? cheers Alfons

Live TV crashes - behaviour - 2011-08-05

I updated to the latest build (odk44) and whenever I launch Live TV it crashes XBMC (window closes) without giving any sort of error in the xbmc.log.

I've tried all the usual tricks of removing the TV15,db, EPG5.db, etc

Has anybody else had and overcome this issue?

Running on Ubuntu 10.04

......

Seems this has already been logged https://github.com/opdenkamp/xbmc/issues/172

thats because mythbackend takes over your DVB card.

This can't be the reason because all mythtv parts are uninstalled.

I use 11.04 and I recognize absolut the same problem the system crash / close down when I try to switch between the different channels. After 4 to 5 channelshifts the xbmc windows close down.

I seem to have my test system working now by removing the .xbmc directory. Once I had all my LiveTV settings as I wanted them and confirmed it was working I copied back my addons, etc.

I just tried to sort the channels from the xbmc frontend but without success, asap I leave the menu, xbmc is crashing and the standard ist back again.

and fixed now. it'll be included in the next ppa build.

please create a ticket for this issue and attach a crashlog, so it can be fixed.
the channel switch issue has been fixed in the dev tree. it'll be included in the next ppa build.

Thanks for the fantastic job you are doing.

We've moved to a new location for the binaries.

To upgrade, execute the following commands:
Code:
sudo apt-get -y install curl
curl -Ls --output /tmp/install-xbmc-pvr.sh http://packages.pulse-eight.net/ubuntu/install-xbmc-pvr.sh
chmod +x /tmp/install-xbmc-pvr.sh
/tmp/install-xbmc-pvr.sh

This will add the new repositories, import the GPG key and install XBMC.

If there are any issues, please let me know.

jbernardo Wrote:Sorry if this was asked before, but a search of this thread for bluray turned up empty.

I am right now using the Mario Sitz PPA for the bluray support, but would like to also have PVR. Does anyone know if this version has bluray support compiled in? If not, any alternative, other than building from source, for having both bluray and PVR?

Thanks!

Another but similar situation here. I use the opdenkamp-git with libbluray enabled and with manual mounting the bluray-isos I can watch m2ts-files. But I can't get to work the automount for bluray-isos. Is it possible with opdenkamps git? What do we have to do?

I read that mario sitz' ppa supports the following:

- iso-automount (opdenkamp-git: dvd is working, bluray not)
- rewind/fastforward chapters (opdenkamp-git: doesn't work)
- change audio streams (opdenkamp-git: is working, but while changing only the used codec is shown not the language, example: "DTS 5.1")
- change subtitles (opdenkamp-git: is working, but while changing all languages are named "unknown")

Is this the right thread for this discussion?

Greetings
