Very happy to report that with updated 4.2.1 and RC6 installed AC3/DTS passthrough is now working gloriously with my Sony receiver. Untethered surround = buhbye ATV1.

Using HDMI for audio and video
DTS-issue:
All speech (normally center speaker I suppose) from right speaker
Mostly what would normally come out from a 5.1 system's left speaker from the left speaker (so no speech)
I disabled DTS and AC3 (Dolby digital), set speaker system to 2/2.1, tried tweaking settings in every possible way using the GUI
So, are you guys saying this is an ATV2 issue and not a XBMC issue? I.e. do I have to wait for Apple's lousy support or the fab guys from XBMC?
