[XBMCLive] Zotac MAG ND01 70% idle CPU usage - gman3042 - 2011-02-16
I recently bought this system. I installed it via unnetbootin and the XBMC Live ISO on the site. I installed it fine. Didn't touch anything other than the install.
But whenever I load it up, when XBMC starts, I check the CPU usage and it's anywhere from 50-70% (through top). And then when a 720p video starts, it's at over 100%(through top). Im a linux newbie, but I know this system should be able to play this stuff at less than a 50% CPU usage rate.
Intel Atom N330 and nVidia ION chipset.. 2GB DDR2...

Something very odd happens though. Once I turned on debugging, in the main menus and stuff, my CPU-XBMC is at 100% almost all the time. But when I start doing 720p videos, the CPU-XBMC is at 15%. Any ideas? Log pasted above.

Can you try with the default confluence skin.

It sits at 20% at the system information page.
Could one skin be that bad? Is it something on my end? I know everybody else doesn't have 100% usage on their Aeon.

Apparently not. You seem to have a modded Aeon skin installed. That would be my first guess as to the problem.
I have that same machine and have no issues with CPU usage.
