Support the iOS development speed up - pooh - 2011-02-17

Hi all,

like virtually all of you I am very excited and thankful to Davilla, Jonathan and others for the iOS port.

How about we pitch in a little extra $ for the team so they can buy extra idevices or more cpu power to develop, test and verify all our questions and requests regarding the iOS port?

Seriously, a 'thank you' is very nice and appreciated, but $ is better.

Shall we show our support and thanks in the best way possible?

See what's going on on a daily basis, and why we should pitch in that extra dollar here:

ps. can this thread be made sticky please. It's probably worth the effort.

Can I contribute to Davilla direct?

Although I understand your intentions, the XBMC team has decided to receive donations for the team efforts. I'm confident that the team knows how to distribute inbound funds in the most efficient way.

thus.. http://xbmc.org/contribute/donate/ Nod

Contribute to XBMC team please, that way we can get more devices in the hands of XBMC devs. For example, an iPad in the hands of our internal skin dev would go miles in getting iOS compatible skins.

Let me see...

2 x iPad
2 x Iphone
4 x AppleTV

That totals up to a couple of thousand of dollars. Can we set the goal to let's say $ 5000 by the end of this month?

I commit for US$ 100

Who's next please?

Not to toot my own horn at all but I did donate a couple of weeks ago (for the second time).
I really hope all who are comfortable enough to do so would donate what ever they can afford. Im sure every little bit helps.

And if it counts for anything, Thanks to the devs and all of team XBMC for their time and talents.

I contributed. Thanks so much!

Cash is a little tight right now. But I'll be sure to donate after the next paycheck Wink

An extra €20 from me. Thanks for the ongoing efforts on developing XBMC.

I just sent $51

I'm hoping for monthly stable updates in Cydia.

The following fixes are of utmost importance to me:

ON ATV2
Fix XBMC so that joystick.AppleRemote.xml works with button ID's 70-78 !

Enable Nito TV's Bluetooth stack hack to work with headphones when watching xbmc ( i couldn't make this work)

Fix Photo screen saver

External USB Drive Support, This would make ATV2 a great traveling HTPC.
( I already shaved down my HDMI ccable to fit both plugs at the same time.)

ON IPAD
more gestures ie two fingers tap, up, down.

bigger scrolling bar or better method

P.S. Great Job so far, and so quick..

The USB connection will never be able to be a USB Host, it's a USB Client connection...
