as far as the rii keyboard goes, hows the range? also what if the battery dies? easily replaceable? looks real nice for the price...

Image

its the perfect XBMC remote for me!!
i havent notice any issues with range so far...
but im like 5 meters away from my HDTV when sitting on my Sofa....

i tried the Bluetooth version at first but,
not sure if it was only mine but,
it did not work properly and it had bad reception and keyboard wasn't
always responding and the item itself just felt buggy,,,
so i've RMA'ed it,,,

I got the RF 2.4GHz version now and im at peace since then....

Probably a dumb question but... - marcozd - 2011-03-18

How are you getting the sound to your TV?

Is it coming through the HMDI cable?

I am just a bit confused as to the difference between the GT210 and GT430.

Again, I realize this is a dumb question...

- eskro - 2011-03-19

yes, once u plug an HDMI cable from your GPU card
to your HDTV, the sound & video travels through the cable...

regarding XBMC, in the AUDIO option,
just set Audio Ouput to HDMI,,

its nothing hard, its easy and straight forward...

GT210
good if you dont have a 3D HDTV and you
dont have an HD-Audio/video receiver....
which is my case!

GT430
good if you have a 3D HDTV and an HD-Audio/video receiver....

eskro Wrote:well AEON MQ2 is considered an heavy duty skin....
since im using it on top of an SSD,
everything goes blazing fast for me!

Now, the latest version of the AEON MQ2 gives you the possibility
to choose 3 modes of installation,
BASIC
NORMAL
FULL

Anyhow, i chose BASIC, and its really fast!!

i didn't know what i was doing in the beginning and i choose full. is there a way to change it to basic?

Does the unit Power on and off with either the

[KEYBOARD] Rii Mini RF 2.4Ghz
or
[MOUSE] Gyration Air GO Plus RF 2.4Ghz ?

Quality build mate !!

After looking at a few builds and looking to see what is available in the UK, my build is not going to be too dissimilar to yours.

How do you find the speed of the SDD ??

SSD speed is fantastic!
of course u can pay more and get even greater speeds but,
anyhow, any SSD will pawn any mechanical hard drives!!!
so yepp! im very happy!!

What other programs do you run? Should I just keep it to XBMC? Thanks again for your help, I am devoting today to building woohooo!

- eskro - 2011-03-26

well on my 32GB SSD i run win7x64 + XBMC + some apps (antivirus,firefwall,firefox,idm..)

after all of that, i still have ~15GB free of disk space Smile

and this was achieved after optimizing my SSD following --> http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=95334

Hey eskro. I followed your build almost exactly and am really happy with the build. Thanks Smile

I have a question... I can't seem to get the LCD panel to actually show anything. I installed the "iMON_7_97_0308" drivers, but only the backlight is working. I can't get it to show any information at all. Any ideas?
