No EXIF data showing during slideshows

I've made sure the setting is set for showing EXIF data for pictures, but it only shows up if I use the context menu on individual pictures to specifically look at it. The setting makes it sound like it should show up during slideshow and when looking at individual pictures. I'm new to XBMC so I'm not sure exactly what's it's suppose to look like, but it is definitely not there anywhere.

Is this a bug - is anyone else seeing this? Is there something I'm doing wrong? I'd really like to be able to see the dates on photos as my screensaver slideshow is going.

I may be wrong, but I think you need to press i to see the info. See if that shows the data.

Read this before using these builds.

That shows the currently playing music info, but not the info for the pictures.

Since XBMC didn't allow showing the date on pictures during a slideshow, I added it - thread on developer forum with link to patches here. Not much interest there...
