Hi guys....

A bit of a question : if there is an update, will XBMC auto-update itself ?

I am asking because the "mark as unwatched" was one of the options today. I am sure it wasn't there before. What I did notice is if a file is marked as "unwatched" then the "mark as unwatched" does not appear, only the "mark as watched" is there. Similarly, if a file is already watched, only the "mark as unwatched" is there. It makes perfect sense but I don't know if it was already like that before...I only tried unwatched files and it only allowed me to mark them as watched. Blush

I am asking because maybe this is controlled by an addon, and I know these can auto-update and since the Raspberry is on the network and it can (and does) connect to internet without any intervention from me, maybe it auto-updated.

When the addon is updated (pending) it should auto update.

I don't follow with the watched thing. You can't mark as watched in AWXi yet.

Videos>files>[whatever-your-movie-folder-is-called]>[any-movie-folder]>movie.ext press circled button and choose from menu

Or try videos>files>[whatever-your-tvshowfolder-is-called]>[any-show-folder]>any-show-title

or videos>>files>[whatever-your-tvshowfolder-is-called]>[any-show-folder]>[any-show-title]>individual-show

Great add-on. I really love it, but is there any way to add the ability to navigate video and music add-ons?
For example, from my phone, i can navigate the mlb add-on to select what game i want to watch. It's great to do this on my phone, but I would really love to do it from my computer, since my laptop never strays far when watching baseball

woops. just saw that you can navigate these through video files. sorry.

Ahh! Whenever you posted such "click chains", i always thought they refer to the AWXi web gui. Try it: In AWXi you can select

Video>Files>[SRC][whatever-your-movie-src-is-called>...

But in the web gui you can't open a context menu with items such 'mark as (un)watched'.

Anyway: Your are using AWXi's remote control (your screenshot). That's all. Everything what you can do with that remote control is functionality of your xbmc installation. You could also throw away AWXi, buy an IR remote control and a dongle and use that to accomplish exactly the same.

In other words: The "mark/unmark" thing you are talking about has nothing todo with AWXi.

Yes, it is a feature of XBMC, but with the default webinterface it isn't available, but AWXi makes it available and since I can only use the webinterface, it is very important for me. Cool

@oggie62 this really has nothing to do with AWXi as far as I see. It's exactly the same as pressing 'c' on a keyboard or using any other remote control.

@odt_x the landscape would always be the same because it's for the TV show and not the episode, no? You should either get the thumb or AWXi default if it's empty. It sounds more like XBMC is sending the poster as the thumb. Does it all look correct in the GUI?

I fully agree so thanks for your time and patience....subject closed.

The English strings are now available on Transifex https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/xbm...rface-awx/ for anyone who wants their language supported Smile

Hello,

I have been using the Awxi web interface for control of XBMC and I am making the attempt to update my custom created index.html file for webinterface from httpapi to json api...(Eden to Frodo)...I am not having much luck figuring out the equivalent syntax. Would someone be able to tell me the appropriate syntax in JSON from the httpapi syntax belowSadThis script below is working under httpapi and EDEN release)

xbmc.httpapi('ExecBuiltIn(RunScript(C:\\vaderScripts\\mococenSerial\\serial-POWER.py))');

any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Or, if anyone has some example code that I could take a look at. Not having much luck with the documentation given on JSON.

For some time now the right and left arrow keys don't work for me while viewing a video...oddly they work fine in XBMC's menu.

I use the arrow keys to skip commercials. The arrow keys work fine using a keyboard while watching a video, but the GUI does nothing. In prior versions of this GUI they worked fine, any suggestions as to what to look into?

@jdturnage I'm not sure it's possible to execute scripts. You can run addons by addon id.

@bac522 iirc it was removed on purpose. I'll see about putting a skip and big skip icon in.
