I tried to update net framework but it's up to date.
I tried on an another PC but same bug
I'm on windows 8.1 pro

I really don't understand.
Maybe try to start Ember As Admin. You definately need permission to write to setting folder! Look here: http://wiki.embermediamanager.org/index....ileges.png
I already tried to launch as admin and same problem.
And my folder permissions are OK.

The weird things is I can use "EmberMM-Deploy-20140110" but not the last one (and the buggy one before 20140210)

Net frameworks is in version 4.5.1 up to date.

When I launch the program for the first time the Settings folder is created and there is 4 files in it :
AdvancedSettings.xml
Genres.xml
Media.emm
Ratings.xml
Added new article in WIKI to explain scraper behaviour and some basic settings: http://wiki.embermediamanager.org/index....le=HOW_TOs

BUT: it doesn't tell the user anywhere. it looks just as if it takes ages to close the window. maybe some information somewhere would be nice? or a download percent bar? just a thought

Working on that.
Actually, it should already be displayed in the status bar, but does not work unfortunately. Did forget to check.

Which bug are you talking about? Trailer Bug? If yes, read on here.
Team,
reading documentation on AnyCPU / x86 / x64 it appears to me that, due to the dependency on external libraries that are NOT bit independent (SQLite and MediaInfo) we should remove the AnyCPU configuration.

I've added the commands to copy the correct x86/x64 MediaInfo library depending on the build Smile

MediaInfo-rar and ffmpeg should NOT have any issue as they are independent apps that run in their own process space BUT as we have x64/x86 version of them I'll manage them accordingly
If you think I'm useful please use the +/- button to raise my reputation
Pushed a commit for several changes on x86 / x64. It appears it works Smile
  • Removed AnyCPU as it is not possible due to external programs.
  • Added both x86 and x64 version of external programs and DLLs.
  • Added nLog to test project to avoid errors on build all.
  • Added post build events to copy the correct bit depth libraries and programs.
  • Reset Code Analysis options for all projects and all configuration to be: Microsoft Managed Recommended Rules.
  • Updated external libraries to:
    • mediainfo-rar.1.3.2
    • ffmpeg-20140213-git-ccc48b3
    • MediaInfo_DLL_0.7.67

DanCooper,
great job on the settings page with the three tabs (XBMC, NMJ, Advanced).... now you should tackle the settings for TV Episodes Smile to make it similar!

Just for everyone to know the F5 (refresh) bug on TV episode is still there Tongue
If you think I'm useful please use the +/- button to raise my reputation
I'm a happy bunny Big Grin

Start up time back to normal
The few things I tested is working great
That means I have to dig deeper Wink

Big thanks to the hole development team

(2014-02-12, 00:30)DanCooper Wrote: 1) XBMC don't really use videostream information from NFO. When you first play a movie, XBMC tries to identify the information and then stores them in the database. That we can not change. XBMC always uses its own information after playing.
So there pretty much no way of getting to display the correct aspect ratio after playing a movie? Weird thing is that i see others (with screen shots) showing the correct aspect ratio using AEON NOX

Are you sure that your movies ever be in this aspect ratio?
Have you ever checked what aspect ratio MediaInfo recognizes?

Which aspect ratio recognizes Ember?
Which aspect ratio recognizes XBMC?
Which aspect ratio recognizes MediaInfo?

Thx Big Grin
I'll finish the expert settings now (actor thumbs, extrafanart...). I am also working already on a statusbar for the Movie Edit window.
After that I will do the same for tv shows.

I will now look for a solution.
To all developers (myself included):
We should a little more separate between contributions to the beta versions and contributions concerning development.
It is sometimes a little hard to find older posts if you have to look in two threads.

I don't have any scrapper to activate in setting.

This is for 3:10 to Yuma which has black bars on top and bottom. Aspect ratio: 2.40:1

For Ember it shows 1.777778.
For XBMC while the movie is playing (hitting the o key) shows 1920x1080 [SAR 1:1 DAR 16x9]
Mediainfo

I will look into this and officially start the aspect ratio investigation Wink

It really seems like Dan stated, that we have no way to set the aspect ratio and audio bitrate consistently with nfo - as soon as you play the movie XBMC will use it's own results which may be right or wrong, more info here (very interesting):

I had posted news in this thead.
And I'm on "Windows 8.1 pro x64" not "Server 2008"

I had tested on 2 different PC and same problem since beta 20140210
