Thanks! I would try that even I don't understand much. I have that file in my jump drive and will insert to that box. I went to XBMC System Setting/Appearance/File Lists and enable Allowing Renaming & Deletion and Show hidden files & directories. I was able to view some files, but not the right dir.
If you don't mind, please give me a step by step or more detail.

This is a thread about librtmp, not about rooting devices. Please don't go off-topic.
Shruvo, I'm testing AGAIN the librtmp from 03.10.2014...
First time I tested, the XBMC and SPMC apps closed automatically on start.
I will post only if successful.

Hi,
I have to use Frodo 12.3 as some of my live streams only work with this version... Would there be any possibility of releasing an updated librtmp for Android (thats compatible with frodo)..?
It's to be able to watch "vercosasgratis, streamify, ezcast etc..."
The latest librtmp works with Frodo 12.3 in Windows but with SPMC (v frodo) and XBMC 12.3 for Android the application restarts on startup.
Thanks

Good Evening Red Penguin,
I realy need to update librtmp.so.0 on my raspberry Pi model B
I am using a addon called palco, on the laptop all the links work perfectly, but on the pi the links do nothing, Ive been told I need to Update librtmp.so.0 the problem is that once it has booted up, and I putty Into the pi, even trying chmod i get a "read only file" so i am denied access. This is enfuriating.
the only other thing I have thought of trying is to decompress the img file and change it within the image file, but all the programs I have tries have not been able to browse through the image. (ifranview, 7zip, winimage)
Is there any chance that you could do an openelec image 4.2.1 with the updated librtmp file for raspberry pi, or.... give a step by step guide to how to do this.
I would be eternally Grateful
Many Thanks
Have a good night.
Regards
Simon

Hi Mabs,
Any chance of an idiots guide for this, as Ive gone through this guide and got to the part where Ive made a file in storage called lib.
inside I have two files, librtmp.so.0 and librtmp.so
section 2 makes no sense to me.
I also have a Storage/.config.hacklib folder
Many Thanks Mabs.
