[MOD] Aeon MQ 5 for Kodi 14 Helix
Is there any chance the "mark as watched" check mark in the TV Recordings PVR View can have the check mark adjusted to match the size other "mark as watched" check marks?

I think it's that yellow (which unfortunately is the colour used for the most common type of program) - it just needs making a lot darker or switching for a different colour. Also, the opaque white pane stuck over finished programmes is far too bright, any way to change that too?

It can't just be 2 colors because it's supposed to mark the different genre's of TV.
You could change all of the colors to be a better color scheme. That's more reasonable. But destroying the genre color marking defeats the purpose....

The better thing would be to make the whole screen customizable. Add a PVR customizer in Aeon MQ6

How do you get the color in the timeline? I had it with Gotham but now with Kodi I lost it. I am using nextpvr as the backend if that matters.

I should have said a single colour. Genre-based colouring should be entirely optional and in my opinion, off by default. It's ugly and unnecessary. Looking at the top 2 STBs in the UK (TiVo and Sky), neither of them think it's a good idea either.

I'd love to know how you got rid of it!

Having everything in the dark shade of green in my screenshot would be lovely.

I think like I said, rather just make the whole window have customizable colors. I like genre based coloring, but if the whole window was customizable. I'd only have certain genres stand out. The rest would be the same color.

You dont need customizer for PVR.
just switch numbers in your folder,or chage collor.in *png
[code********\\addons\skin.aeonmq5\media\genres\[/code]
if you dont wont collors ,delete all *.png
There is some skin changes in epg timeline and add some .png in this folder with name of genre (film,comedy,western,news,sport....),and timeline evants will be collorize in the name of ef EPG genre

Code:
<texture>genres/$INFO[ListItem.Genre].png</texture>
Try to integrate with your skin.

Great post! Thanks so much for the information, I deleted all the png files and now have a nice clean epg without the horrible colours.

edit: I was also able to reduce the brightness of the overlay used to denote already aired content by just reducing the brightness of the following file in Photoshop:

\addons\skin.aeonmq5.helixmod\media\pvr_epgprogressindicator.png

I didn't get rid of it. It just never showed up in color.

I second that. I'm running Openelec 4.97.2 with Aeon MQ 5 Helix Mod 6.1.0. Anything later than that and I get the message that some files are missing.
Otherwise, thanks for porting this great skin to Helix.

^ if you get the incorrect structure error it's because you didn't extract the zip file.

I fixed this issue by modifying addon.xml in skin.aeonmq5.helixmod.zip (ver 6.1.3)
Replace the line <addon id="skin.aeonmq5" version="6.1.3" name="Aeon MQ 5 Helix" provider-name="MarcosQui">
to <addon id="skin.aeonmq5.helixmod" version="6.1.3" name="Aeon MQ 5 Helix" provider-name="MarcosQui">
