Just wondering for LIBRTMP for OSMC rpi2. Do I just need to replace the librtmp.so.1 (that i got from your mediafire) in /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/
And run sudo chmod 755 /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/librtmp.so.1

or do I need to also run as per Milhouse instructions.

sudo ln -s librtmp.so.1 librtmp.so
sudo ln -s librtmp.so.1 librtmp.so.0

Hi everyone,
I have installed Kodi on my new raspberry pi 2 with Raspbian OS (not OpenELEC) and I need to update librtmp to get some addons to work properly.
Unfortunately I have not succeeded with that and I need some advice/instructions.
I have tried the OpenELEC update method but it is not working.
The addon plays sound but no image, only a bunch of color squares spinning in the screen
How can I overcome this issue? Has anyone been with same problem?
Is correct to use the compiled librtmp for OpenELEC in Raspbian? If not, where can I found the Raspbian version?

Hi,

I have 2 versions of Kodi one running on Windows and one running on a Chromebox using OpenELEC.
I have installed a playlist for simpleIPTV and it didn't work due to outdated librtmp.
I have download the latest Windows librtmp from this thread, replaced it, and hola the playlist now works.
I have downloaded the latest Raspi librtmp (having read that this is the correct one for OpenELEC) but the playlist still does not play. Are the Windows and Raspi versions not "identical"? Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated.

Edit: I managed to fix it after lots of trial and errors.. it turns out only the linux static linked librtmp from superceleron would work with OpenELEC, at least for me. hope that helps if anyone has a similar issue.

Please help clear the confusion I suffer on which librtmp.so.x is right for me. Trawling this thread for the answer has not helped (fog is now thicker ).

I'm currently running OpenELEC 5.0.8 Generic.x86_64, on Intel Celeron NUC. In the past (ie: OpenELEC 4.x.x) I followed Milhouse's excellent hack/instructions without trouble, and all worked as it should.

However, I understand only the statically-linked version will work under OE 5.x - and I cannot find a download that says it's for my OS. Obviously I don't get something in this scenario.

Could someone please point out what I'm missing (the concept) and where I should get the file.
