[OLD/CLOSED] PseudoTV Live - Set-Top box solution
Are we ready for the new release? I saw it was available in my updater on Ubuntu and cancelled it out in favor of a working PTVL, but if everything is working I'll go ahead and update. Otherwise I'm sticking with the Helix version until we're ready to go.
Is there a way to open up other add-ons while in PTVL? For example, while in PTVL and press a button and open up video add-ons like GameSatan, First.book.of.the.bible, or FireMovies (RBTL) to watch videos on demand without leaving PTVL? This way you can watch a video that you didn't add to a PTVL channel without leaving PTVL and needing to reload it?

No, that can't be done. I have around 100 channels that load up in no time on an Android device and even faster on my Windows machine. Item limit 250 with weekly updates as opposed to updates each time I load PTVL.

when PTVL is finished there will be a 'APP' on demand feature that will allow users to navigate through plugins.

@Rambo, I'm helping my folks set up a PTVL setup on an OpenELEC box with mostly live TV streams from USTVNow and the like. Every time we close PTVL and reload it after browsing apps, it takes forever to reload because PTVL rebuilds every single channel in regards to EPG data.

@luna, Is that what the Blue Button "App" is in the EPG? I'd love to see this become a reality...if I could program I would help.

Also, Luna, what's the best way to configure PTVL to handle dead plugin streams/live streams? I've tried Validate Plugins set to High, but it makes every plugin not load at all, including USTVNow. Currently, when a stream is dead, PTVL can't load the EPG and it's hard to tell if it's crashed or if it's still open. This is one of the biggest issues I need to solve before my parents decide to use PTVL full time (and donate to you, of course Wink )

Plugin Channel issues.

1. Is there anyway to pull ALL videos from a plugin, or at least more than 1000? Specifically I am pulling all the videos from a huge youtube channel, and it is only taking the first 1000, instead of taking them all. It is a problem with every addon though, because it doesnt just select a random 50 from the plugin listing, it will instead select the first 50 it finds, then randomize it. I used to edit the files to make it pull more, but that becomes a hassle doing it after every update. This leads to my next issue.

2. I can't get plugin channels to shuffle. They seemingly grab the 50-200 videos, then play them in alphabetical order or the way they are listed in the plugin. I obviously have the channel set to random, and I have tried to force random mode. This was never a problem before. I simply want it to select random videos from a plugin directory, then shuffle them.

3. I am trying to make a podcast channel pulling from the Apple Podcast plugin, and it simply doesnt play anything. This was working somewhat prior the last update.

Playback issues:

1. I have all my channels full of .strms from various sources, and it tends to change channel when changing to the next episode, and im not sure why. Like it will change to the next show on the title/description, but it changes the channel, so the display is wrong. No idea, why this is happening.

Ooooooh that's gonna be pretty sweet.

Try these settings: http://gyazo.com/079033f8311bee5b2d1b5b0a54cd4c8c

You can go above 250 if needed for TV show channels, but 250 is the sweetspot for movies. Given that the average movie is 90 minutes long, there "should" be enough movies to last you 6.25 days before the EPG needs to refresh again if using plugins like Sega. If you want, I could export my playlists, entire Sega library, and settings2.xml for you and you'll have a fully built library ready to go. You'd just have to add your USTVnow channels.

Here's an older export and playlists from the 14th of May. I'll upload and link you my settings2.xml if you want it.

After the install I open the PseudoTV Live addon settings and change it to raspberry pi, enable autotune, and check USTVnow. Then when I run PsuedoTV Live I get a "Guidedata Update Failed!" popup in the lower right corner and then a PseudoTV Live error message "unable to load channels". What am I doing wrong?

No longer experiencing this issue, PTVL is up and running for me now. Keep up the good work!
First, wanted to say I love PseudoTV Live and Lunatixz's work is amazing. I even donated, which is rare for me (still waiting those 7 business days). I've been having several issues and have mostly solved them through endless amounts of google searching, but now I'm stumped:

Is there anyway to get a YouTube Multi-Playlist channel to play all of the videos in order, while alternating between the different playlist like a limitless channel set to "Play shows in order" with "Even Show Distribution"? This channel is composed of about 20 playlist of Let's Plays with 950 videos in total with a media limit of 1000 (limitless doesn't seem to be an option for YouTube channels). I'm also interleaving other channels with trailers, animations, and trivia, but all that is working fine. I just can't for the life figure out how to have these videos play in order. I tried the previously mentioned rules to no effect and having the order set to default also resulted in a random play order.

Unless I'm missing something, it seems like the only solution would be to download .strm files of all these playlists with proper naming format and make a smart playlist like all my other channels. The problem is, PseudoLibrary doesn't work when I want it to. I got it to work one day, though I realized I couldn't create strm files from the plugin I wanted due maybe color tags(?), but after that no dice. I specifically used configurations that worked previously and nothing, but that's a problem for that thread. I wanna know if there is any other solution outside PseudoLibrary for my issue. I'm using Kodi v14.2 (Helix), but waiting for confirmation that PseudoTV Live is v15 (Isengard) ready, on Windows 8.1 for reference.

Otherwise, keep up the good work Lunatixz.

That's one confirmation, (and thank you for it!) but I'm going to sit pretty until we get some kind of announcement from Lunatixz himself. I imagine I'm not alone in that determination...

I have 15 final on an Android Mach 8 and two W8.1 machines. No major issues. The EPG sometimes locks up and causes me to force close/ exit through task manager, but other than that, everything is fine. All of my channels are 100% plugin channels, so that's more than likely my issue.
Does anyone know what each of these configurations does?

Debugging:
Wait for playback (seconds)
Force Playback timeout (seconds)

I suppose that they are self-explanatory, but I guess my question is: how does it affect PTVL performance? What happens when 'Wait for playback' reaches the second limit set? When 'Force Playback timeout' is met, what does PTVL do? I've found a few things in the changelog, but I'm still a bit unsure.
